I miss the 70s life was a lot better things was cheaper you used to be able to get ice cream 🍨 for twenty five cents of the ice cream man trading cards in football 🏈 in basketball 🏀 cards in stuff was cheaper in we had good cartoons on Saturday and Sunday mornings in after school like the Banana 🍌 splits Valley of dinosaurs we for school house 🏠 Rock you learned a lot back then in the music didn't have all this disrespectful lyrics to women our music had meaning in we had music for everything

Nothing serves as a stronger Generation X touchstone than Saturday Morning Cartoons. It was "our space". Everything for four hours was geared to us, and Dad didn't touch the remote. The funny thing is, no one would ever comment on Saturday morning cartoons at school or even seem excited for them. It was just a ritual that everyone took part and looked forward to in a general sense (part of what makes it so fondly remembered is it kicked off every two day break from school). A central irony of the Saturday Morning Cartoon Era is most of the cartoons were absolutely awful, with the exception of the theatrical animation from the 1940s and 50s.. so at a time when everything "old" was frowned upon, the "modern" stuff was actually a giant step backwards (for cost reasons)

Brings back memories of me and my sister lying on the floor arguing about what channel to watch. When making breakfast meant pouring a bowl of cereal like Lucky Charms or Coco Puffs.

I can't believe how much this hits the nostalgia, so much so I wish I could open a portal and go back. Such wonderful innocence and simplicity. No worrying about "THE MESSAGE" as one youtuber that reviews movies likes to say. Definitely made for kids with no other ulterior motives other than selling toys. And if there was, we wonderfully oblivious to it. 😁

They didn't show Wonderama, Gumby, Davey and Goliath, Dusty's Treehouse, Winky Dink, Gigantor, or Kimba the White Lion. Does anybody remember those? 😊 OH, and Lawn Darts, Click Clacks, Jacks, and Sling Shots... lol...

Loved Saturday cartoons and shows like “Run Joe Run” and “Isis.” But you had to watch on that day, because there was no way to record it! 😆

Wow that was deep. You can't unsee what's been seen. ( Taking a deep breath) . ......... I laughed with confidence at the bird scene because I saw the white hats checking the water The seagulls on the beach overlooking the ocean made me think of the white hats see everything you do. Hence ,," they're screwd. . I appreciate what you're doing. You express your pain so well that I couldn't help but feel it. And the Vulture scene,. Yes that are . Godspeed on a swift successful end .

I suppose most kids value the era they were a child in more than they do the era(s) they exist in as adults. It makes you wonder why that is...and if it's something we should fix collectively as human beings and the way we view "adulthood."
