Thing about dementia it does not harm the victim, because they don't know. Both sets of parents and grand parents passed from this wicked disease. If a person remains productive will this happen? Have not heard of any comparative studies. And smoking affects everything just as being over weight, which like 90% of Americans are.

Regarding the 6 early signs, it is altogether possible to have many of these signs from unrelated factors, as opposed to being the beginning of dementia.
@HealthbridgeOfficial
@HealthbridgeOfficial 4 күн бұрын
You're right! It is very true that some of these signs can arise from factors unrelated to one another. But it's certainly important to pay attention to these signs and speak to a healthcare professional for a proper diagnosis. It will help clear out any doubt or suspicion as well as treating or remediating the actual as to why a certain symptom did spring up. But you're right! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts today. Have a very pleasant Day! ✨

A lot of those symptoms sound familiar and let's face it, it won't be my problem but someone else's and let's face it, it's just nature taking it's course. In many ways it seems like an easy way out because someone else will have to care for me and I'll dribble into my meals three times a day without a worry in the world. Doesn't sound too bad to be honest. Advance apologies to the person who gets to wipe my arse x

My haemoglobin levels have been low for decades so I’m going to keep using iron supplements.
@HealthbridgeOfficial
@HealthbridgeOfficial 6 күн бұрын
Of course, that is certainly a scenario where Iron supplements are/can be necessary. I hope you did consult a healthcare professional in this process. As, Generally Anemia is treated well with Iron Supplements in the course of several months to a Year. Though there are exceptions, such as Chronic Anemia, understanding and treating the cause of Anemia can make a significant difference and would not require a lifelong admission of Supplements. Thank you so much for sharing your experience today! I hope you are well. Have an amazing Day! ✨

Seizure disorders are a major cause of dementia and a large risk factor it. People with seizure disorders are approximately 7 times more risk for dementia and/or Alzheimers. Daily excersize can help decrease the risk A LOT!!

It's a very heavy oil. And sticky. Puts you off. I have some and tried to rub it in to ease psoriasis. It was just too dense. Maybe the oil was old and I need to get a new bottle.
@HealthbridgeOfficial
@HealthbridgeOfficial 10 күн бұрын
Perhaps the oil was old, but Castor Oil certainly is a very thick Oil. And some people don't favor the consistency of it. You can use a carrier oil like Coconut Oil or Jojoba Oil, Argan Oil, Avocado Oil to thin it out. We actually spoke about that in a newer video on Castor Oil for Adults. If you'd like you can watch it here as well : kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ftOgd5OL2r3IpZ8.html Thank you for sharing your experience! Have a very good Day! ✨

I found this video useless and annoying. Having 'senior' moments as you age is normal. No one ageing can expect to have the brain of an 18 year old. Forgetting some things does not automatically indicate dementia. Stress and depression has a strong affect on behaviour and memory also. To be honest, I wish I could forget some things that have happened in the past. Maybe I am being frivolous about a serious condition, I don't mean to. My wish is that all people suffering from dementia only forget the bad things and remember the good.
@HealthbridgeOfficial
@HealthbridgeOfficial 10 күн бұрын
That is such a sweet wish! And we're sorry if parts of this video offend you. We didn't mean to. You're right. Forgetting some things does not automatically indicate Dementia, but it is nevertheless a symptom of it. It's generally more severe than what's known as age-associated memory impairment. And mental health conditions do have an impact on memory and behavior as well, making the detection more difficult. And I wish I could tell people that detecting it early can complete cure it. Sadly, as of the moment we can only treat and manage it. But! Early detection is going to increase your chances at a better life manyfold compared to if you were not able to detect it early. Though you should not over-panic or over-think about getting one or two of these symptoms as a rare occurrence, it could be very useful to pay attention to your overall health and these potential signs. Thank you so much for sharing your perspective on this! I wish you an incredible Day! ✨

We used to call 90% of this aging. The brain and the body wear out as we age. It happens to everyone In varying degrees and at varying stages of life. Living longer has exacerbated this. It seems we as mortal humans just can’t seem to accept this reality, we think we can fix everything. We can’t.

I am 71yo. I am losing myself a little at a time. The worst part is the knowing that I am unlearning, losing abilities, forgetting, intrusive random thoughts, nostalgic more often,confusion misunderstanding, the opposite of growth, learning, curiosity, focus, loss of interest, not surprized, less woner. Less amazment, less appreciation, less desire, less want. More need, less smooth, more effort, less energy, less strength, more loss, less gain, less accomplishment. Less happiness. Less Life Goals. Less Ambition. Less ME tomorrow's yesterday Yesterday is GONE.

I'm 74 and had many issues as well a few years ago. I gave up statins (doctor mandated), drink a glass of water with 2T apple cider vinegar in A.M. for better gut health (much better appetite). I also found a senior exercise class and work out 3 days a week and walk on off days. I'm a completely happy different person older than before. Make a few changes and make a new life. I wish and pray you make a few small changes and live a great life as a senior.

All of these early symptoms are completely confounded with “normal” aging. Self diagnosis seems very problematic.
@HealthbridgeOfficial
@HealthbridgeOfficial 15 күн бұрын
Yes it is. Most of these symptoms are either missed in a self-diagnosis, or normal cognitive decline is wrongfully considered to be part of a disease that they do not have. This is why It's important that people take advice from a qualified healthcare advisor. That's a Good Point! ✨

I think I’m at risk for dementia at age 73. Wearing a hearing aid now. Had sleep problems until last March when I finally retired-retired. Walk into a room and have to think about why I did. Still, I work out at Golds Gym 3 days a week pumping iron and some aerobic work on the stationary bike. I have an Asian and Mediterranean diet. Junk food includes a slice of pie after dinner occasionally. No cookies and chips. But I am a cigar smoker. I ride a motorcycle which keep away balance and concentration issues. But still feel like my parents, it’s going to catch up with me.
@HealthbridgeOfficial
@HealthbridgeOfficial 15 күн бұрын
I'm sorry to hear that, but without a proper diagnosis, I do not think you should worry or let it get to you. You seem fairly active, which is Great! and the things you've mentioned are sometimes symptoms of cognitive decline due to age as well. However, if your parents were affected by this, it's better to consult a Healthcare Professional and get things clarified. Especially since the cigar smoking does increase your risks. You seem to take care of yourself quite well. I wish you good health, and an incredible Day! ✨

@@HealthbridgeOfficial how I noticed his gait had changed was because my dad was always a very tall, muscular man and within weeks he became slightly hunched through weight and muscle loss. I now have this habit of looking at people who have similar walks and I’m noticing it in much younger people. I wasn’t his carer, my mum was. He passed away in 2022 aged 88 of complications from the dementia 👍🏼

I have figured out that vascular dementia is the one I have to watch out for given I have Ischaemic heart disease. As for aphasia, I have problems with that for as long as I can remember or maybe that should be as long as I can't remember. I was really angry with myself the other day that I could not remember the name of Georgia O Keefe though I could remember her art, mind you eventually it came to me without having to google, but often I forget the names of artists and personalities. Who nowadays can name all three of the three tenors?

It's understandable to be concerned about vascular dementia, especially with a history of ischemic heart disease. Memory lapses with names can be frustrating, but it might be necessary to speak to a healthcare provider about this and get a proper diagnosis. but I love your sense of humor with the hospital story.
