Thank you! I just needed a visual of what was going on with that lower looper under the side cover. I got a used jonome 234d serger. Never had a serger before and my mind was boggling at where the thread was supposed to go. This video asked me to understand what was going on.

You have really described the threading of the Janome overlooker . Seems such a pity to have left mine unused I will use it now and thread it all tomorrow in good light. Thank you so much. 😊

I love your explanation of threading the lower looper. I always thought the lower looper was to be done first. Your tip of forming an x withe the loopers.

I’ve loved Laurel Burch since first seeing her work in 1989. Sadly she passed in 2007 at the age of 61. Her husband has carried on her artwork since then. The works are still lovely.

I want to thank you so so much for sharing your videos. My serger is a Janome Four DLG but I will I never used it cause I didn’t know how but thinks to you I’m pretty sure I will get it ❤

When you threaded your machine, you put both the left and right needle threads in the same guide just before threading the needle. My baby lock Vibrant serger has a separate guide for each thread path. It's the same part, only you put the left thread on the left side and the right thread on the right side. That way, you could actually thread either the left or right needle in the order you wish. I too like to remove the foot to make more room grabbing the threads with the tweezers.

Thank you for this clear and confidence boosting tutorial. My old Janome 204D got a thorough servicing and it is out on my table serging of all things. 20 years later I am finally giving it the love it deserves. Helps if someone teaches you how to thread it.

thank you so much! i just got this exact serger but in pink and i think it's the 100th anniversary edition. I was so intimidated reading the little booklet it came with so i'm so happy you made this tutorial. i just did a practice stitch and it looks so great! i bought this machine to make my pieces look more professional. thank you so much!
