not much parking space there. The only place that I know of on the beach road with a large parking lot is Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville.

I wonder how deep it gets between the beach and that island just off shore...that whole bay looks pretty shallow, would be tempted to walk/swim over to it 🙂

I have just booked Crown Plaza in Coogee from November to December, coming over from Manchester, England to visit my daughter. Going in totally blind as we have never been to Oz never mind Coogee. So far think I may have made the right choice. How far is Coogee from Vaucluse? Great vlog❤

North end gets very crowded during cruise ship season November to April. Go after 3 p.m. by when they have all left to be taken back to the port. Spinnakers Beach Bar by the 'ramp' (constructed by the US Navy in the 1940's for their flying boats) is a great place for 'Happy Hour' sunset cocktails South end is currently tranquil, locals, Marie's bar (see my post) but like so many natural spots is threatened with redevelopment. In fact virtually the whole hotel strip has been acquired by an international hotel group for 'redevelopment'. That means characterless bland homogenous 'resorts' that could be anywhere in the world. Probably most of their customers won't even know which island they're on. Enjoy it while it lasts!
