Hi 👋 lovely haul Rick, I still need a rancors for my collection, yours looks like a nice one, I had one years ago but just like an amanaman I had I woke up in the morning to find one of the arms had fallen off in the night, the speeder bikes are going for some money now too, will you do a collection video? At any point?

As a kid I was already reading Conan and Red Sonja comics and books (Robert E. Howard and all additional stuff), watching the movies, etc. etc. ... The Hercules and Xena TV shows were just an extension of my love for sword & sorcery/fantasy stuff ... I loved the show, even as a kid in his late teens ... to top it off, people involved in the show were some of my favourite creators at the time (Sam Raimi (his brother is great as Joxer), Bruce Campbell and more). Actually ... to really top it off, I'd lived in New Zealand for an extensive period of my pre-teens so the whole atmosphere was right up my alley. Lucy Lawless is an amazing person (lets not really mention Sorbo). This TV show is a definite highlight of my youth TV-watching antics. I kinda wish this was a nicer product though (art, photos, stories etc.).

They’ve gone cheap with the packaging. I have this as an actual box with the Chakram design on it as the magnetic clasp. The best box set however is the Madman/Viavision box set you can get in Australia. It includes all the special features and additional footage that comes with the now out of print Anchor Bay box sets for each season.

I liked Hercules too, shame there's no complete DVD release in the UK of it. I preferred Xena out of the 2 shows though.

I know this was posted a while ago, but the Premiere Luke was also ability 4 (but power 3) for the battle destiny, and IMO so much better than Commander Luke. Deployed anywhere (and you got a bonus if not on Tatooine), the extra force draw was great, and I'd argue Red 5 was more useful than Rogue 1 overall. And deployed 1 less (while still having the same forfeit). I know the Hoth version was a thematic Luke... but the card was pretty terrible. Course I guess he got shot down, almost stomped by an AT-AT, almost eaten by a Wampa, almost died of hypothermia if not for Han, kissed his sister.... eh I take it back, it deserved to be a bad card. I'd argue it should've been Han in Hoth, he literally saved all the main characters and identified the Empire had found them so they could prepare the evac asap. And we got Son of Skywalker in Dagaboh which was a very good card. Course then we prob. wouldn't have gotten Captain Han Solo in CC which was the best Han.

yes but depends which ones, some are very common and don’t sell well on their own (a lot of the series 1 ones) so you have to do those in bundles

Pog’s voice box no longer works now so I have machine washed him inside a white pillow case to protect his eyes and on a gentle cycle.

I had several of these magazines back in the day - don't think it lasted very long. Been trying to remember what it was called for years! There's one on ebay as I type for £85. Barely anything on this magazine online. Very nostalgic watching this - thanks, Rick!

Question: Do the prequel and original trilogies have the 20th Century Fox logo and fanfare at the beginning? I heard some of the newer releases did, but I wasn't sure.

The Games Workshop bundel is Warhammer 40K stuff, I think the figures may be part of the Space Wolves faction who are part of the Space Marines ... it doesn't really matter if they are painted (I think) just as long as they are not smothered in paint removing all the details. I used to paint these and they are easy to recolour if you don't like the colour (the units should be bluish/grey) ... it also looks like you have some of the alien creatures that they battle, but hard to see, would have been easier if you had set out some of the main figures ... take care, in the plastic bag some items might break ... although I used to deliberately "break" some of the units (handy that they are plastic) so that you can give them their own character and not have e.g. 10 of the same unit on the battle field, but one with a broken banner shaft etc., or a broken gun on the footpiece with the unit firing a different gun etc. I was more into regular Warhammer (orcs, goblins, snotlings etc.) than the space stuff, so don't know too much about 40k. Yes, they are plastic. Only a couple of high-quality units are metal. No idea what it is worth, must be over 20 years ago that I was painting those figures ... :)

@@rickadams You can check the Space Marines faction by looking at the symbols on their shoulders etc. it might be another one (though don't know why they'd paint 'em blue) ... although I think the tank is from the Space Wolves set.

@@rickadams Ah just checked the listings ... the Space Marines one has some good activity ... keeping my fingers crossed for you! I also noticed that the 4 Orc figures (with the square base) and the elves with the circle base (from 1992) are what I used to paint!!!! ... those are actually regular Warhammer and not 40k. :) Knew there'd be some metal figures in there ... they are usually leaders or squad commanders. I don't recognise any from the alien lot ... but they weren't really my thing.

We played this back in the day, and kept it going for about a decade. We had a massive restricted list and at least one banned card. Time Eddy is just broken and ends every game it gets played immediately.

@@rickadams if you get tons of cards it’s actually pretty fun… after restricting every single card that kills a creature or returns a card from the discard pile. There’s enough support across the time zones to make pretty flavorful human decks, Dalek decks, Cybermen, The Master even. I lost my cards in a move 15 years ago or so, and it makes me very sad. I love that game.

Good video! The starter set is def worth the price you pay. Especially since the prices tend not to get crazy when the Unlimited product line prices fluctuate. Not to mention I LOVE Grogu. He can be a game changer for any type of deck. I run him in my Aggressive deck when I need some breathing room.
