I was kind of expecting a one-off where we witness the crew of the Enterprise-C in the thick of the Battle of Narendra III, in a scene kind of reminiscent of the attack on the U.S.S. Kelvin in the opener of Star Trek 2009......with crew members being killed by internal explosions, the weapons officer being decapitated by a falling girder, and a male computer voice constantly chiming out "WARNING! STRUCTURAL COLLAPSE IS EMINENT!! EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY!!"

I had been told to avoid Dr. Who at all costs...I regret not listening to what were wise words. But to this idle snipping at what has clearly taken a lot of thought, creativity and so much time, you can not know, to make something like this--a pittling sub-seven minute film/video?? All I can say is, can you imagine how much time and money it would have taken in, say, 1966?? I'm an old poop. I fooled around with film a little when I was younger but gave it up for a "good career." Now that I have that big lie out of the way😂, I'm giggling at editing video--no film? I can shoot until my batteries run out or I pitch over dead?? Hell, yeah! I'll just stand here until I get a "spontaneous" response! Add a widget and get a can of--color correction? Add another for backgrounds, a whole lot of thises and thats?? Whatsa LUT?😳 These folks did a pretty good job tying their back story to the canon, and that is no easy manner. If Star Trek ever wanted to dabble in the Horror genre, this would be the story to adapt. That glowing dude trying to pull the other half of the ship back with is mind was pretty terrifying a sight, not to mention how he began to slowly change. and how he killed most of the crew beforehand. He got the "Gary Mitchell" Look.
