I don`t know if it`s a lack of power thing vs a tuning thing. Sprocket ratios and clutch tuning does wonders even for smaller 4 strokes.

Nice! I really want to try one of these kits. Is this one a belt drive clutch? Do you know if the engine can be rotated forward 90 degrees for mounting? My frame has a narrow space from top to bottom.
@jessepittspittstopАй бұрын
yeah, this kit was the belt drive clutch. As far as rotating the motor, with it being four-stroke, the engine has to be straight up and down. Hope that helps!

@jessepittspittstop3 ай бұрын
Ya know, for me, I think I’d have to go with the 2-Stroke when it comes to these small bikes. However, I’m thinking about doing a bigger motorized bike build with a 212, and something like that I would definitely go 4-Stroke. Hope that answers your question.

dont need hand clutch on 4 thus frees your hands using both breaks properly.2 stroke clutch hinders breaks.Yes you can install double break but in my experience never really works.Breaks becomes weak and spongy.Something to think about

@hillock104 ай бұрын
You're not exactly giving the whole story. The 4 stroke can be boosted for power by reaming the carb jet to .026 and opening some 1/4 holes in the carb cover, and also going to a smaller rear sprocket, say 36-41 teeth. With these changes, you would get about 32-33 mph with the 4 stroke.

The 4 stroke is a little smoother and quieter. It is also somewhat slower. Rejet the carburetor one size larger. The 2 stroke is a little rougher running and has a more distinctive sound. I like both but prefer the 4.
