For me the meaning of these lines was totally different until I read comments, So I though " I hosted party" meaning the love she gave generously to someone, was not reciprocated, she was starving for the love she didn't received back. I think I will keep this version cause I relate more with this one 🙃

I struggled with ED as a teenager. I’m in my 50’s and still deal with body image issues. This single line said so much. I hope people understand how all consuming ED can be and the full impact of the disease. It’s really has the ability to alter someone’s life.

I am a recovered anorexic and this line from this song brought tears to my eyes. I used to think the only way I'd be liked is if I starved and it made me cry remembering what I went through during that time.

as somebody who has had an ed, this one line means so much to me. here's my story for people who wanna hear: i have had struggles with loving my body since i was 9 (i'm 21 backwards now) . i have had an off and on ed since april of this year and still relapse a lot. when i rebecame a fan of taylor and listened to this bridge, i cried hearing this lyric. yoyok will always be my favorite midnights song. to anyone currently struggling with an ed: YOUR BODY IS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS & AS TAYLOR SAYS< U CAN FACE THIS!!! This line hit with me because a few years back I stopped eating normally to lose weight, because I was bullied and shamed for it. When I got my desired body I was happy, because people started to like me more and praise me for the weight that I've lost. All the attention that I've been yearning for kept feeding my toxic ideology until my body got smaller and smaller. I only realized how bad it got once people pointed out how scary my body looked. It took years for me to gain back some of the weight that I lost because I was too afraid to "look bad" (which was a very bad mindset).
