So back when people were constrained by physical and limited copies at actual stores, preordering something, especially a really hyped-up popular launch, was important and served a function - it guaranteed you’d get your copy of that game on launch in the face of overwhelming demand for it. One of the most cunning things the games industry did was give people the impression that preordering games on a digital platform where the supply is infinite provided them any value what-so-ever. Now if you preorder a game you are just literally paying a publisher for an unfinished game that you have to wait several weeks for and then when it comes out turns out the quality of it is dogshit. Why should they care at that point? You gave them your money months ago. Maybe if they’re feeling charitable they’ll release a patch that fixes the launch issues. It’s the ultimate gullibility test.

@@AlfredvanKuik In Ultra Deluxe the part where the narrator says "OH, DID U GET THE BROOM CLOSET ENDING? THEB ROOM CLOSET ENDING WAS MY FAVRITE!1 XD" no longer has special pink subtitles and they got rid of the typos and XD. They also changed it so the narrator refers to the player as "they" instead of "he or she".
