Good stuff, they had hundreds of them in new brighton even in the late 80s they were still there probably from the 60s rows and rows of them. riviera i think they were, the door was not locked on one of them one time so me and me dad just lined the jackpot up by hand and closed the door and it paid a pound or 2 in 2ps, then a few more... lol

@@bernardmitchell7396 Thanks mate. I'm not sure what I'm doing in these games. Chris is the expert, I have had some good wins using his technique, trouble is I don't play them enough. I'm currently having another look at the Ansell machine, it's in a poor state, I'll film any restoration I do and uploaded that at some point. 👍

Hi I will do. I can tell you the electronic parts no longer work on mine and I've removed it due to other bits being missing. I've managed to fit a spring to enable free play and it still takes coins and pays out. If you bought the one on eBay the payout tray and possibly cash box is missing. Elaine Robert on eBay had one for sale a while back they may still have it. I'll try and get a video done asap 👍

@@ballythebandit5810 Very interesting - surely it can only be an emulator issue. Some early ZX Spectrum emulators suffered in a similar manner because some of the more advanced instructions had some undocumented features which the emulators didn’t replicate but which the original programmers had relied upon. The result was that the programs did not run correctly on those emulators.

Nice video, very helpful. I just got one of these machines and it doesn't work. I've repaired the PSU and the MPU works. I've dumped the ROM and there seems to be data on it, but it still won't run. It doesn't have the low voltage green label PSU instead it has the regular 48V version. Apparently it did run. I'm a bit stumped to be honest. Are you able to dump the Eprom?

The power supply should be green label due to the low voltage hopper. The lamps will light but will burn the decals, I'd get a green label power supply for it

The red light is lit on the board and the red LEDs light on the reel sensors but no credit display. It made me think the program was faulty or corrupt.

Quick question. My dad’s just bought a very similar machine that’s running on 1p coins. Any ideas how to remove the magnet in the coin slot to let it accept post 1992 coins?

Hi what machine is it If it's a Jubilee like the one in the video I don't think there is one. Some machines have an S10 coin mechanism some have had removable magnets and some were fixed. You can cut them off but I wouldn't do that as you could devalue the machine. You can buy older coins for them, and they are still in circulation. Hope you can sort it. 👍

@@ballythebandit5810 it’s a jubilee international jackpot deluxe I believe. Yeah I think we’ll just get a load of old coins for it to save doing anything drastic. We did wonder if it might unscrew but we’ve not got that far to look yet. As you say the old coins are still in circulation, might just get a load of them from the bank and use a magnet to separate the new ones

Exchanging the £2 win for 5 super series feature cannot award more than £3 in total so after 4 spins, £2.90 had been paid so had to force in the 10p. Great video.

Enjoyed the video 👍 In the late 1980's i had a small collection of machines, a Sega Space Trek cocktail table space invaders, a bally Cascade Star on 1p with changer on top for 2p 5p 10p and i had some Awp's, an Mp3 fruit machine called Shades, a Bell Fruit Mystique, Barcrest Way In as on your emulator and i had several Jamma video cabinets and various boards. Interestingly i spotted that 1D panel by the open door there, i sold one just like that on ebay years back could that be the same coin enrty panel it looks identical. Enjoy the content on your channel, regrettably i sold all my machines in the early 1990's when i left home to travel with a funfair. 30 odd years later i wish i had all my old machines still, the prices for the machines can be expensive nowadays.

Hi Mate, I'm ok thanks for asking. The Emulator is broken at the moment. I'll be looking at doing some changes to it, a new PC required plus a power supply. Not sure when I can get it sorted though due to work and family stuff. I've removed the emulator content so I can sort through the best clips and I'll be reloading some again soon Hopefully It'll be easier to find a clip if there's less repeats of not much happening and more of the games playing well. I'm planning on doing more videos of repairing and creating stuff, again when time allows. Love your videos mate. 👍

its nice to have a look at your Gold Award , ive had mine since 79 , just show you how they can be made single play without a hold feature , i womder if they added it to mine to make it more attractive ot play , originally on 6d for 1 or 2 plays i was looking to see if you had the same 2 plays feature by your multiple play switch too.

Hi yes this 2 p conversion was originally on sixpence for 2 plays this was changed to what you see now. I could put it on 2 goes for a 2 p. I have another Gold Award in original condition on sixpence for 2 plays with original payout slides, there are videos of this. Thanks for watching 👍🌲

emulators have come a long way. They manage to replicate 80's tech issue and brake down and require a fix every 6 months. Hope you are well and your issues resolved with a bit of messing about

Great video mate, Thank you for sharing this with us. Looking forward to seeing how this comes along. I have in the past 3 months got into electro mechanicals . I have 2 now in my house, My Noble Moonraker is very dear to me and will stay around for good. I love that bell fruit badge at around 0:47 I have been after one for a few months to stick on the moonraker sometime to pay respect to the machines former life as a bell fruit Dash.

I wouldn't use WD 40 to lubricate as it'll dry out, some 3 in one oil nothing heavy would be ok, you can use clock oils for the clock. If you need parts you can get them from Henry Powell at Powell's Automatics.. 👍
