Can you stir resin to long? When resin starts to harden can you add new resin to it, so as not to waste

Separately, several days or pour back into container. Once combined only a half hour or so..depends on the resin. Some set up very quickly.

I love this stuff vs Hydrostone, Hydrocal, and Cement All. It's so smooth and very little air bubbles.

Sounds like either too much harder is used or too much mixing… use the correct ratio, less hardener if necessary. Mix it by hand and slow but complete

Important point not to stir it very fast when mixing. In many video tutorials, they use an electric hand blender to mix the resin with the hardener or to mix in colors. But this makes the resin full of air.

Want to use resin to fill a void and color it black. Thanks for the tips. If you're still looking and answering questions would love to know if you think I can pour this all at once into a skinny but deep vessel that I want it to fill and stay in. Would that affect the cure time or ability to cure completely? Need to be poured in more than one go? Thanks again!

Putting more than the recommended 3oz, an equivalent in ml would have been nice, does cause issues and doesn't remove all the air but for small projects it is good. On how it works, the motor causes a vacuum which the resin and air held within it try to fill. When the cap is released at the end of the process the air pressure is normalised allowing the resin to fall back whilst the air it held mixes with the air allowed in through the vent.

What a helpful video! I have struggled with epoxy resin and UV resins for quite some time now. I've watched so many tutorials, but yours is the most helpful. So what happens when you've followed all the instructions and your resin still comes out with blemishes? These little fine line cracks I want to call them? I have ruined so many pieces and I have given up faith that I will ever try resin again. I appreciate you!

The very first time I used this resin I miraculously did it correctly and thought I already got the hang of it but during my second time I was chatting with my roommate and didn’t realise how fast I was mixing it. It turned out so foggy and yellowish with lotssss of bubbles and I was so confused as to what went wrong this time. Also the resin dried so quickly before I could use it on my whole batch of clay pins. I was so sad😭 thanks for the information, I should watched this before trying it

Thank you so much for making this video I am new to using a epoxy resin. I used some for the very first time yesterday, and my epoxy was cloudy. I was wondering what I was doing wron, but after watching your video. It's because it was just old. I had ordered new apoxy that I will be using. For my Tumbler, but I'm very happy. I came across your video so very educational. I thank you so much for making this.

I just came here to say the first time my 13yr old son and I tried epoxy resin, it was a disaster. I was in charge of measuring and from what I look up my husband said we didn't mix it enough ... who knows. All I know is even after a full 7 day week lil baby Gummi bears in a silcone mold were still totally wet! I've been too afraid to try again since 😂. I just ordered a bunch of molds and accessories and stuff so we can try again.

Did you use the correct ratio? Mix it slowly about 3 minutes and mix the bottom and the side parts (the walls of the recipient). If you mix it too fast you will have bubbles. Try again and make those gummi bears 😀

Thank you for your video and suggestions. I’m new to using resin and feel like I’ve followed all instructions: 1:1 ratio, 75 degree room, low humidity, mix for 5 minutes, etc. I’ve done 3 pieces (free form bowls) and they are all still very bendy even after several days. I’ll give it more time but it seems like they should be fully cured/hard at this point. I did use alcohol ink but not overpowering amount. Any suggestions?

The question is does it hold up as well as other vacuum machines. A pressure pot and a vacuum chamber are used for two different things.

You mention an environment that's too cold, but I live in FL. Regular temperatures are in the mid 80s to low 90s (except for a few weeks between December and February). What temperatures would be considered "too hot"?
