I hear you. At times you can see they opened the doors and trusted that no one would run out onto the active airfield. I think in order to do 3+ tours a day, they can't allow for people to get off. I do very much appreciate the fact that we could hear the action.

I remember having two flights on United 777 aircraft in the late 1990's - when they still had the 3-3-3 seating in economy. Very nice flights!

What is CHAOTIC about these departures. I assume you are not a pilot!!
@XLRSAv
@XLRSAv 23 күн бұрын
Thank you for your comments. Anyone watching will be able to tell that the departures in this video are far busier than any airport and especially using one runway (specially 18R and sometimes Taxiway A is used at 18L). It's quite a sight to be seen. In fact, KOSH tower becomes the world's busiest control tower for the entire week of AirVenture, receiving over 10,000 aircraft this year. In comparison to other control towers, and even class D Airspaces such as KOSH, it is for sure chaotic! In response to your second sentence, I actually am a pilot nearing 100 hours of experience with my private certificate and I can tell you with all honesty that I would have some nerves flying in or out of AirVenture due to the extremely busy traffic and organized chaos that is KOSH! It all does work together for the most part though. I hope you have a good day.

Red twin at 22:52 and 25:14 is a Dornier 28A! There weren't many of those to begin with, very few left now. Pretty cool it made it to Oshkosh. Thanks for catching and posting it.

I was there yesterday and crawled through and got an excellent cockpit tour! Doc costs $10k per flight hour... Their trip back to Wichita, Kansas is about 3 hours ($30k). Great thanks to the people who donate and keep her flying! Wow! What a rare and iconic aircraft!!!
