So glad this has been recorded as it has brought many memories back of going as a youngster. I live in Wigan I remember my relatives came over from American and were taken aback by the strict classroom teacher but added to the realism. We went to trencherfield mill afterwards and the engineer let them sound the horn on the steam engine, it made my so proud showing off Wigans heritage to them.

I hear port and tunnel's, sound's solidly like smuggling, tax evasion! Excellent 😅 however just crazy, bored rich guy, hobby project?😮😅

These sinister tunnels were probably built to smuggle kidnapped people around Liverpool. The people that were smuggled were probably kids, sent across the city to the satanic freemason perverts who populated parts of Liverpool. I wonder how many of these kid's were never seen or heard of again. 😢

Remember a great school trip in the early 90s. The classroom part was scary and I think we wrote on slate with chalk, was 30 years ago so a bit fuzzy now.

Went many years ago with a school party of 10/11 yr olds. Schoolroom was superb. Strict teachers gave a real flavour. Went a few years later and it was v toned down almost apologetic and v disappointing. Heard that there'd been complaints that the kiddies were upset. God help us all.

I was an actor here for 5 months in the early 1990's. It was a wonderful first job, so many fond memories. Especially our favourite line as a schoolteacher "get your hands out of your pockets boy, you can play with your marbles later!" hehe

So if anybody has any brains...... they know that to dump all that mud in them tunnels would be the same effort as what it took to dig it out....... why use all that man power and time to do this??? Let’s think is there any other reasons these tunnels could be filled in with mud..... all we get is the info that the people that built these structures all done them for there philanthropy reasons..... look up the philanthropist Andrew Carnegie who also done the same...... created all marvelous structures to keep people in work....... bullshit.....

🐸 I am telling you what in the 1800 that "poor rich guy" did: He excaveted with his hand like a rat untill he could at least find something precious to sell and buy for some food! Then he really found enough to become rich and employed other rats to excavate even more those ALREADY EXISTING TUNNELS✔️
@paulrichard65935 жыл бұрын
And just after these tunnels was built.... took years building em..... they started to build St. George’s hall and world museum and all the other Greco buildings around Liverpool..... no pics of nothing getting built🤔

I was a regular visitor to the Gloucester site and it was with delight that I saw that there was a museum of memories located at Weston Super Mare during a stay a couple of days ago . The museum is housed at the end of the brand new grand pier on the second floor. However to access the museum you have to walk through a massive area encompassing the whole of the pier end of slot machines and amusement machines including the "happy monkey" which drove me scatty. Not to be put off we went up the escalator to the top floor where there was even more slot machines and screaming kids. The tiny area adjacent to the hellish amusement arcade was devoted to the museum and of course the £3 admission fee. I wouldn't go again no matter how good the exhibition was as I left with a splitting headache from all the noises and lights of the gaming machines. Why oh why does the museum have to be located in an area like that ??

How did all the rubble get in the tunnels???? That’s the question. They was all built then some how are filled in..... who filled them in????? Looks like a mud flood to me💪🏻
@scousemouse2000uk5 жыл бұрын
Over time, the tunnels became a nuisance, so they were filled in using buildings above after demolition etc. No mud slide. The lowest level had a layer of quarry waste, that's what you can see being deposited into the skip
@paulrichard65935 жыл бұрын
There 1800 tons of refuge has been pulled out time this video was made..... please watch the video... if you don’t want people go in. You block entrance.... you don’t spend man power to fill the whole of the tunnels.... look at the spoil they have filled it in with🤔...... it don’t look like demolition building material to me
@paulrichard65935 жыл бұрын
Ok so it quarry waste they saying... but to fill the tunnels with this much quarry waste would of took a long time and council would of had to pay people to do it... all they had to do was fill the first part of all entrances.... not put over 2000 tons of quarry waste down there......
@paulrichard65935 жыл бұрын
Also we should be asking more questions... like how big are the tunnels under the city??? How long would it of took the people to build the tunnels?????!?If early 1800s was it dug with tools or machinery?? Any photos or painting of it being dug.... nobody really knows...🤔
@paulrichard65935 жыл бұрын
Also All over the country under city’s there similar structures.... with also daft excuses why they was built.... actually all over the world... why were all these tunnels built..... was they expecting some major catastrophe event

There's a visitor centre now at the site in Edge Hill. I've always been fascinated by the tunnels. Lots of interesting debris was thrown down into them over the years, including old coloured glass bottles.
@stormkingfan11 жыл бұрын
if rubbish got dumped into the tunnels soon after JW's death in 1840, then there may be collectibles as old as 170 yrs old still down there or recovered by the Friends.
