You have very thin oil in the differentials. I'm currently running 12500 at the front and 5000 at the rear of my XV-02. I switched to a Hobbywing Xerun G2 10.5T today, I'm excited to see how the chassis handles with the engine. I'm also currently converting my old XV-01 to front-wheel drive for the 2WD class.
@dariorcgarage11 сағат бұрын
You'll have a lot of fun with the new engine. I try avoid to put too thick diff oil in order to avoid troubles on slippery conditions. But maybe XV-02 handles it well👍 Next event is going to be 100% on tarmac, I'll try something new

Thank you so much for this advice. I'm a total newbie to rc but a great rally fan for many years. Do you have any advice on suppliers of the pavement cones you use? I am in the UK and have found a few suppliers on eBay and Amazon that look ok but not as good as the ones you are using or the ones used at your events. Thanks in advance and thanks again for your great channel.

@dariorcgarage grazie! I love rally but we don't race them competatively, just for fun. I race mainy 1/10 onroad and just started with off-road. I have a tt02 that I am converting as much as I can to rally and I also have an Xray XB4 which I will convert later. I watched your videos on that conversion but I didn't see many build videos. I know you changed the chassis to a shorter one, and the arms, which arms are they? Could I still use the original chassis? I only race for fun, regulations don't apply.
@dariorcgarage15 күн бұрын
@@smalleaglefpv3186 maybe in the future I'll make a more detailed video about my Xray XB4. The arms and steering blocks are from Xray T3-4. The position on the engine is different and the drive shaft from the front diff to the slippery clutch it's 116mm. You can try to use the original plate just for fun.

OK, I'm not following why you need to create both the differential steering angles for a rally car, and why the extreme turning radius for the spindles. I understand the reasons why you would want to do that for a drift car as they need that in order to counter-steer while drifting. But why do that on a rally car unless drifting in the dirt is what you have in mind?
@dariorcgarage18 күн бұрын
Because in Rc Rally we race on tight courses with narrow corners, so for a good Rally setup you need a big steering angle. For bashing around it's just necessary to increase the ground clearance. Take a look at this video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ac2coZt61tfdhnU.htmlsi=6Ct-CWD1NSdm2e2y

You look very relaxed after your vacation, I personally have a little short vacation tomorrow and I'm also driving an RC rally.
