What’s a similar string with a lower launch angle?

Worst tennis shoe I had in my life. Very stiff and unforgiving. I even think Roger's knees problem was exasperated by these shoes. I developed pain everywhere in my toes, sole, ankles and knees after using these for 6 times. Never regretted a purchase so much in my life.

I've got a reel of Ultra Cable in yellow. I tried it in several different racquets including the Pure Drive, Head Extreme, Yonex VCORE, the Prestige, and Dunlop CX200 OS. A full bed at low tension generally works great out of the gate, but it seems to change tension very quickly (3-4 hrs) and starts to play long or changes feel to the point I have to give up on it. Initially its almost always great on every stick. Just today I tried it in hybrid at 52lbs on the mains with synthetic gut at 55lbs on the crosses in a CX200 OS. I set the pretention at 10%. Fantastic! I'm hoping this lasts longer than a full bed.

👍👍🔥🔥 on the 1hbh. That was a pretty good backhand and he is one of the handful players with a 1hbh, which is a complement as the 2hbh is for those who do not have the talent to develop a 1hbh, the men with a 2hbh have all converted to a women’s game, it’s virtually the same, stand on the baseline and use a 2hbh, using the same equipment.

I would rate him as a 4.0, not a 5.0. He put his serve into her hitting zone almost everytime. He was not hitting his spots for easy points. Looked like a recreational player to me.

You nailed it. This was exactly my experience with the string. Great spin for slower racket-head-speed shots like drop shots and touch play. Much better touch than I was expecting. But nothing special for regular shots, and the durability is too poor to be worthwhile. But I want to add: this is probably a good string for a 2.0 or 3.0 player, someone who doesn't hit as hard as Mark or cause as much string wear. It's free spin for slower players.

I've been using Ultra Cable for years (9 or 10?). First with a Head Speed Pro then when I switch to Gravity Pro (2019) but always in a ploy ploy hybrid. I use a round ploy for the crosses (Wilson Revolve 17 white), giving it even more snapback. I didn't know Ultra Cable came in white but using the Yellow, I don't recall ever seeing fraying but that may be because of the round crosses. I do 48/50, which still gives me good control with plenty of spin.

These 3 cons are quite a no-go for me. After ruining your arm it lasts only three more hours before you finally cut it out, because it would break anyway? And if it gets all its spin fron sharp edges, it will probably shave off all the felt from the balls. Which should translate to con #4. Thx for holding me off from testing it. Which I wouldn´t have done anyway.

i like your bh; it flows before the strike. your fh is a slap!! works for you... i found this racquet to be very good. The stick I enjoyed most of the Blade98 was the Amplifeel 16x19. it was awesome. I am a ball striker, from the BL. I'll force the short ball, the approach shot was good b/c of the light racquet. thanks Mark!

Might be too late for the party but I tried this string recently after ignoring it for a long time. My setup is black Babolat rpm rough 17g in the main at 52lbs with yellow Yonex poly tour pro 16L g in the cross at 50 lbs on my 2 rackets Yonex ezone 98 (315g unstrung 325 swing weight) and babolat pure aero 98 (315g unstrung 332 swing weight) found this setup playing really good and not hurting my arm. Great snap back and ball pocketing. Only small problem I had was the tension loss after a few weeks (I played around 4-5 hours a week). Still very playable tho, just lost a bit of control. Since I’m not a pro the tension loss is acceptable and got to enjoy it for a few months before I get my rackets restrung.
