Nice to see you! Congratulations to everyone that made their goal! Idk what's up with me, but I started my 7th week injection yesterday. Have only lost 5-6.6 lbs depending on which scale I use. But I'll take it. Might be losing inches because someone asked if I'm losing weight.

@@joanpolly8544 ugh! The worst! So sugary. Sometimes I still can’t believe we got duped into that. Every once in a while, I picture a pack of red vines or good & plenty with “fat free” or “low fat” across the front of the package. And I really thought that was better 🫠🤡

Yes! I love this! And I’m guilty of it too because I’ve called it a drug even though I know it’s not! It’s a hormone that our bodies make naturally. Have you heard of Dr. Tyna? She talks about this very thing. I love her approach to this medication. I can’t micro dose, but I think I’m gonna try cycling it like she recommends to avoid becoming resistant to it. Great short! 🙏🏽💕💕

A great find for me recently is Seeq Protein. Amazing taste and it’s absorbed wonderfully into water unlike the creamy milkshake like proteins. So downing 40grams in one drink is so much more enjoyable and doable for me.

@@nataliegraves554 get one now! I got my first DEXA scan six or seven weeks in and I wish I would’ve got it done before I even took my first injection so I have a reference point. But it’s all good cause I had those two years ago so I’ll just say that I was probably the same as December 2020 or worse actually because I was heavier this year before taking my injection

Girl, I would count at least a pound for the hair. Lol! The last two of my weigh-ins, were disappointing since my period and experimentation with eating more things again. I did my week 3 weigh today and only .6 down, but the weird part is yesterday it was 2.2 lbs down. I think i just need to get back to my original nutrition plan for lchf because it seems like the protein chips and shakes aren't helping me. Also, you sound like you are in pdx, too. It's been super hot, and I for sure thought all this sweating would show on the scale. Lol

Can anyone here give ideas of what to what to eat while on semiglutide if you have to be on the road a lot during the day, from early in the am until late at night (perhaps not every day, but at least 3 times a week? And before you say "meal prep", please know that is not an option for me, for a number of reasons too long to explain. So, if you are in a remote little town that only has a McDonald's, Wendy's, DQ, or similar, and you need to keep on driving to get to your next meeting/destination and you cannot stop for too long to eat something that needs to be eaten with a spoon. Any ideas/suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

I would do a quick Google search or even look here on KZfaq for someone that can speak to that professionally…there might even be a nutritionist or registered dietitian who’s made a video on it. Personally, if I were in your situation, I would just always stick with the low calorie on the menu and the high-protein so for example, Wendy’s I would do a couple grilled chicken breast and the bowl of chili. McDonald’s also, I would do grilled chicken breast by itself or the sandwich. Some unsweetened iced tea. Besides drive-through places seems like there would at least be a small grocery store where you can grab some fresh food or vegetables like some pre-sliced veggies and fruit. If not, the corner stores usually have meat sticks, some roasted nuts, they even are starting to carry things like cheese, yogurt, pretzels, and hummus. Those are the types of things I would focus on if I had similar circumstances.

I've been on mounjaro for two months and while I started exercising right now I finally went into the gym this week and managed to do 1 hr in the threadmill. Before this I would be out of breath just walking my dog.

I also have hashimotos- my antibodies have gone down besides the no gluten, dairy, and sugar- also I have incorporated blackseed oil and silver fern cleanse along with digestive enzymes, also Vitamin B complex- methylated and Vitamin D with K2- Hope this helps. Was in the 600’s now down into the 200’s on my antibodies. And sleep and less stress. I am also on semiglutides- so it’s all a process.

Definitely Avocados, berries, apples and pears surprisingly have 4-5g fiber each. I just bought a jar of Chia seeds and added them to my yogurt and berries this morning.

My philosophy is that this med is just a tool. And, at times, tools can only be so strong depending on what they are up against. The body is gonna do what it do, for lack of better grammar. And thank goodness right? Women need more food and more nutrients to support our bodies at varying times in the cycle. My issue is I didn’t have a plan for when my body needed more so I just grabbed what the kids were eating.

My win for last week was being consistent with with strength training Monday through Friday and walking daily for an hour each morning Monday through Saturday. My initial walking goal was only 5 days a week. Congratulations on losing 19.4 lbs! That is significant progress for six weeks! I'm also a belly injector and have been alternating between the left and right for all 19 shots. I'm also a no side effect girl, thankfully! One of my daughters has severe eczema and Dupixent has been the only thing that has completely cleared it up for her. She's been on it for about 3 years and it has been life changing for her. DEXA scans are amazing and really show you an accurate depiction of your body composition. You're going to love it! Can I just say I love the pace of your videos and how clear and concise you are! ❤

These videos are not an accurate representation of my normal talking habits 🤣🤣 You made it looks so easy in your videos getting straight to the point. Then my first filming date I just stared at my camera/phone. 😅 As for eczema…i feel that for your daughter. Meds have come so far. Growing up in the 80s/90s and all the way til 5 or so years ago it was all scary strong steroid creams. I should give dupixent a try.

My week one is over on weds morning. Initially I was down 3 lbs but I wanted to see what happened if I ate outside my usual diet. At first I lost only a lb the next day, but then it went back up 8 ounces. Aunt Flo is supposed to show up, so not sure if that's truly why. I think I'll stick to my normal LCHF and not add in the protein chips and trail mix bars. I'll weigh after auntie has left. Lol

I appreciate the follow soooo much! Lisa, the prospect of actually, literally, *finally* reaching this health goal blows my mind. I have grown so accustomed to wanting and trying that it wasn’t until earlier this year when I heard something that stuck with me. The general idea was: What if you didn’t quit? What if you were done losing weight and you were just enjoying your life/maintaining? That there. Wheeew! I have never experienced that. The idea is enough to keep me going for sure.

Our stories are very similar! I’m 5’5” and my starting weight was 204.4 on 6/12 was my first shot. My goal was always 155 but after seeing all the success stories on KZfaq…I think I might be able to try for 145 🤞🏼 I’ve used Happy Scale since 2012. Love that app! Looking forward to your next update.

What is your goal weight/dream weight? I weigh daily as well cause I like to know how my body is responding to what I am doing. I don't freak out too much about the occasional upward fluctuations as I know it's going to come back down cause this medication is the bomb.

Glad I found your channel- nice to see someone who “looks like me” on this journey on KZfaq 🤗. Wish I was brave enough to start a channel but I love watching other’s. We have similar stats and diet history. I started tirz 15 weeks ago and I’m down almost 31 pounds. I’m 5’4” and my starting weight was 191, now down to 160.3. My goal is 145. My A1C is down from 6.5 to 5.8 and I’m off my thyroid meds. This medication is life changing. I wish you luck on this, it’s gonna be great. Congrats on your success thus far. (btw- the curls are poppin!)
