So many negative naysayers on here. We should be congratulating the Scottish government on opening ANOTHER rail line and giving a boost to the towns they serve. Well done. 👍

These lines should never have closed in the first place the line I'd like to see reopened is the calender line that's another one that shouldn't have gone like many connel ferry that's another,

ONE train an hour each way (even at rush hour): Scotrail are hardly expecting a stampede of passengers! Is anyone new actually going to use this new service to justify the expense in the re-opening of the line and its day-to-day running? Or will it simply pull a few existing bus passengers who would’ve transferred onto the train at Kirkaldy, thus losing revenue for the existing local bus services?

Have you got to learn gaylick to read the station sign?
@user-sp5bz2uq8bАй бұрын
Further, they got rid of guards to driver only, introduced ticket machines, put staff on board with no railway experience! Next improvement will be no drivers and the train will fall into a sinkhole, which could have happened at caldercruix recently!!! No one to watch the signals!! Bring back nationalisation to the railways, staff the stations and get rid of greedy companies who are only in it for profit!!! That includes ScotRail!!!
@user-sp5bz2uq8bАй бұрын
ScotRail and network rail at their worst!! Opening 2 more concrete bus shelters and calling them railway stations! A con!! Just propaganda and photo shots for SNP politicians and their own publicity!! Couldn't network rail have a little bit more imagination and build proper stations rather than something from Legoland!! Every station is the same!! I worked 10 years on the railway and in no hurry to visit these lego blocks!! Thomas the tank stuff 😅!!!

From the video I thought the stations looked remarkably good and certainly weren’t the typical bus shelter designs you find on many reopened lines. You need to see some of the reopened stations on Transport for Wales lines to see what a basic railway looks like!
@user-sp5bz2uq8bАй бұрын
@@GarethJonesPilipala thanks, wish I lived in Wales, must visit. Sadly we have ScotRail up here which although owned by the Scottish government, is contracted out to private companies! Why can't network rail employ someone who could design proper buildings rather than Legoland stations!!!

My god taking the opportunity as you obviously have a huge grudge against network rail and scotrail, I’m sure the good people of Leven will be forever grateful with your negative comments.

What wonderful weather you had for this trip. I've spent a good bit of time in those areas, with a few visits to Staffa as well. May can be perplexing to Southerners a little more used to mono-weather cultures. What a wonderful treasure the wee Waverly is, and truly being able to share that with this generation is priceless. But the view of the coastlines brings a pang of heaveyness to my heart SO clearly a time to visit Mull again. Wonderfull Video Production Mr. Sheach, Thank you!

By the way why is that fucking union acknowledging flag flying off her mainstay
@waterbuoy9121Ай бұрын
Err, maybe because it is a UK Registered vessel - the UK being a Category A member of the IMO? The Royal Scots Navy (RSN) ceased to exist on the signing of the Union The saltire can be flown as a pennant on the bow staff - which is the case on the Waverley, but a defaced red ensign can only be flown as follows: Section 3(b) of the UK Merchant Shipping Act 1995 allows the use of both the Red Ensign flag or a version of it defaced with the appropriate national colour, on vessels registered with a Crown Dependency or UK Overseas Territory provided they have either a Royal Warrant or an Order in Council:
@vidcrit1187Ай бұрын
Personally, I'd much prefer her to proudly show her own national identity by flying the pre-1707 Scottish Naval ensign which is similar to the Red Duster but with the Saltire replacing the Butcher's Apron. Pleasingly, an increasing number of Scottish vessel owners are now doing so.

Great footage of the "Stringbag" an iconic Naval Aircraft - my father flew (Swordfish 4422 ) carrying VIP passengers on Liaison flights to the carriers and back out of RNAS Bherunda and Trincolamee (Sri Lanka) over the pacific fleet in 1944 when he wasn't flying his F4U Corsair. He said despite its size and relatively low power the Stringbag was surprisingly agile when light and was a joy to fly.
