Do a video on Cardinali's in KEnosha. Founded in 1915, best Italian bread anywhere in the US in my opinion.

I currently work here.. few hours a week. I have probably worked in 4 or 5 bakeries in my long life. In every other bakery I have worked at, the breads and rolls produced have never been touched my a human hand. Everything is automated. Not at City Bakery. These rolls are a work of an Artisan. Everything is hand made. Rick and his wife work tirelessly to create the best breads and rolls you can eat. I had NO idea there were that many different fresh breads ever.

When I went there on vacation I got that feeling. It was all really good
@clairewyndham1971Ай бұрын
@dbzsuperfan711 absolutely. I LOVE the fact all the bread is fresh baked day of sale. The bakers there have been doing their stuff for 40 and 50 years. That says a lot! Nobody bakes on a hearth. No body, but they do!

I know this sounds stupid, but I SERIOUSLY miss these. I grew up with “brat fry’s” at Piggly Wiggly and everything coming on a Sheboygan Roll. I’m both salivating and teary-eyed thinking about it.

I’m excited, I’ll be going there this weekend. My dad grew up in Milwaukee, and when we visited grandma, we would always get plenty of hard rolls there. Now you can’t find them in Milwaukee. I live in Chicago, and no one here knows what you are talking about.

I ate there yesterday and maybe they changed ownership but this was definitely the worst "soul food" I've ever eaten. Even the cornbread was horrible. Jiffy tastes better and the mac and cheese was horrible. How can a soul food place mess up mac and cheese?

Is there a recipe
@clairewyndham1971Ай бұрын
@royalanethridge333 - I've never seen Rick use a recipe for the Hard Rolls. The only recipe I've seen used there was the one for Orange,Pecan Cranberry muffins. Which by the way, the dissappear from the showcase 3 hours ( give or take) after they are put in the showcase.

I was born & raised in West Bend is Not 45 min from Milwaukee it's only about 35 min. Norbert is an awesome place to go never had an issue there & I have many enjoyable memories from there :) . The Riverside is hit & miss. I had such a bad experience there about 7 years ago with the food & customer service that I vowed never to go back & I haven't been. Fun Fact West Bend got it's name because of the bend in the river :) It's the halfway point between Fond du Lac & Milwaukee :)

Alcohol and Axes is the name of my band! No really, great for you two. I found this because I'm looking at places near my newly found biological family (driving from NY to MN) where I can catch on my way by when road tripping. Love WI! Beautiful part of the drive so far as I've been thru 3 times in the last year so far from NY.

I worked there summer of 66, just out of high school. Made buck fifty an hour time and a half after 44 hours, usually 75 to 80 hours per week, thought I was rich. I found humor in when he mentioned 200 to 900 do. A day. Sunday night the slowest of the week we did close to 2000 dz. And it increased every night to Friday night when we hit 6-7000 dz. True story no bs. Fritz owed it then, just an old hard working German.
