Hello, is this a match barrel? And what you think is match barrel more accurate than the standart barrel? Thank you!
@EuLRH2015

Атанас Чулаков hi, yes it is a match barrel. I wouldn’t say that it is more accurate. But for long strings of fire you definitely want to have a match barrel. Because of heat. Otherwise if it is for hunting a standard barrel can be as accurate.

EuLRH First thank you for the answer. I need for both. Long distance shooting and hunting. I’m still thinking which one to buy.
@EuLRH2015

Атанас Чулаков it depends if the weight of the rifle is important and which caliber are you looking for. A match barrel is much heavier than a standard one. If you are looking for a magnum caliber this is better for recoil. Otherwise I would go for a standard or maybe semi weight...

EuLRH for 300 win mag. I’m planning to do hunting with long walking distance. I think that standard barrel is better choice.

Атанас Чулаков then get a good muzzle brake and the recoil will be much lower 😉

You mean it was to narrow to start to tumble? Either id deforms when the molecules hit each other or it wont lather on, unless it hits something harder like bone later on?

Actually it will not expand until penetrating 3-5" of tissue. This roe deer was small so there was no expansion at all. Later I have shoot a few more with the exact same result.

Interesting. On the tube there is another video: hunting chamois with .338Lapua magnum where the chamois with the same type of bullet Lapua Scenar killed at a distance of 400m. However, there are new calibers such as .26Nosler, .28Nosler with which to chamois could be killed and twice the distance with the use of bullet type AccuBond .
@EuLRH2015
@EuLRH2015 7 жыл бұрын
I don't recommend using Lapua Scenar bullets for hunting at all. There was no expansion of the bullet on the red deer seen on the video. .338lm is overkill for chamois. I would easily shoot a chamois at that distance with my 6,5x55 on which I use Nosler Accubond Long Range bullets.

Video that I quoted hunting chamois with .338Lapua magnum with no expansive bullet Lapua Scenar give universality to Finn. What will happen if you instead Lapua Scenar use bullet Berger VLD hunting? Hole will be as big as a crater, meat much damaged. Is it better to find a chamois few meters or cut it down in an area with many destroyed meat assuming that you do not have another rifle 6,5x55SE?
@EuLRH2015
@EuLRH2015 7 жыл бұрын
That would be true if talking about a really fast .30 or 7mm cartridge. However with a .338lm the bullet will not start the exploding expansion. But I agree, with a .338lm and a chamois there is no need for an expanding bullet...

The exit hole .338Lapua magnum with a bullet type Berger VLD hunting at the wolf and the chamois is very big as a crater even at 1,000 yards. Check, then tell me. I bet I'm right.

Hi, I have shot 2 animals with the 300 berger hunting bullets and I have to say that the bullet works really good and there was no excessive damage. One was a Red deer female shot at the distanco of 187m and a small roe deer shot at 366m. If you want I can send you some photos of the wound of the roe deer.

kerognes thanks. Yeah, I used 300gr Lapua Scenars for this shot, but there was no expansion, however the deer went down after 30m. I have now 300gr Bergers and I hope it will perform better...

Hi, thank for your video. In your case, you have ordered the stock for the 22mm Match barrel? I have not found this option on the KKC website. The Blaser inlet was included when you bought the stock? Thanks Mike
@EuLRH2015
@EuLRH2015 7 жыл бұрын
Hello Mike. Usually KKC stocks come with the standard barrel channel, but it can be easily opened up for a match barrel by a gunsmith or even by yourself if you can work with wood. Unfortunately KKC stocks come without the blaser inlet, so you need to take it out of a professional stock. If you need more data about KKC stocks feel free to email us at [email protected]

How do you find X5i Tomaž? How does it compare to say V8? ATB Greg
@EuLRH2015
@EuLRH2015 8 жыл бұрын
Hey Greg. There are some changes that I would make to this scope, but in general I like it. I find it hard to compare the X5 line to the V8. When it comes to elevation for long range, the V8 is really a hunting scope, not to talk about the V8 4,5-35x60 that only has 5mils of elevation...

+EuLRH Thank you! And if you take the standard carbine with ordinary lodge Professional and barrel 17 mm, and then take the removable barrel 19 mm fluted (Semi Weight), this trunk fit in standratnoe bed?
@EuLRH2015

You have to specify that you want a stock for a semi weight barrel otherwise it will only fit standard 17mm barrels.

No that's a nice piece of kit. I need to get myself one these finally. A friend of mine has the R8 with a custom synthetic stock with adjustable cheek piece, custom trigger, match fluted 6,5x47 Lapua barrel and a semi-weight barrel in 9,3x62.. On top of it all a S&B Police Marksman II.. Did you get that pre-set variable trigger through Blaser as an option..? 250g sounds incredible for target and long range black grouse hunting!
@EuLRH2015
@EuLRH2015 7 жыл бұрын
Hello StPaul76, sorry for my late reply. Blaser is really a versatile system. I also use a S6B PMII scope ant it is worth the money. The trigger that you saw in my video is an option that blaser offers. It is an ATZL trigger. It can be adjusted at 650g (hunting) and 250(target).
