I can get a better sound out of my HeadRush than my tube amps. Technology has come a long way.

Bro, I disagree with your video where you played a load of sound samples and asked people to find the modeller amongst them and later revealed that all the sound samples were actually modellers. You were asking people to pick from pre-recorded sound samples of modellers, and yes, modellers, when used well, can sound just as good as tube amps when recorded and mixed. Tube amps sound better in the room and sound better in a full band mix. In my opinion, I've seen so many bands now where the guitarist is using an AXE FX or a QC, and their sound looses all definition once the band starts going. Although when I hear a tube amp on stage at a live gig, I can recognise that beautiful rich sound instantly. It's night and day in a live setting if you're the type of person who cares about the guitarist's rig...

Can you or anyone in you band pull one actual lead guitar performance??? Yeah, I applaud you as a superstar in rhythm chugging but it’s all in vein if you have nothing to then support it with…. I know that you are an experienced and excellent guitarist so why not throw in an accent lead break to round out these riffs????

Tube amps have become the carburetors of guitar: outdated, not even industry standard anymore, and only fawned by people terrified of change.

I might get alot of shit for saying this and/or I might get some thumbs up for saying this. Let's find out, First off, all my life I have had 2 favorite bands that have shared that #1 spot and those bands are SAVATAGE & PANTERA. I always favored PANTERA because I got to see them live at least 5 times for sure and I got to do a whole bunch of cool shit with the guys. SAVATAGE I've only seen live once and that was SAVATAGE playing as TRANS SIBERIA ORCHESTRA.The reason for this comment is to say that DARRELL "DIMEBAG" LANCE ABBOTT was and will always be my favorite guitarist and in my opinion the best metal guitar player that has ever walked the earth and there will never be another one like him. Then I came across this dude, XANDER; and after watching almost all of his shorts I smiled I thought to myself this XANDER dude is somehow channeling DIMEs metal wizardry or DIME is possessing XANDER and playing through him. It's probably neither of those but no matter what it is he's layin down some original badass tasty riffs reminiscent of DIMEs style and I think DIME is lovin it.

You are 100% onto it mate IMO. Recently I've been tracking using a DI and my real amps together. But somewhere along the way I've now ditched the amps. several reasons. Using a Di is stupidly easy and you can put any sound you want on it and it sounds amazing. If I decide I want to refine the sound or the second guitar needs a different voicing? Easy, alternate through the different amp sims and find a tone that compliments the other. I'm loving it. I spent around $10,000 in amps over the last 2 years. I don't regret it as I still love them and tone chasing has been a hobby of mine for 20 years. But as far as putting them to practical use??? I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them other than keep them as trophies for display, or plug them in for the enjoyment of it.

I love mine, but the Probuckers suck. I couldn’t switch them out fast enough. The PB3 at the bridge is lifeless. Real low output compared to the PB2 neck pup. The PB3 was grainy, lacking any character, lacking low end, muddy mids. It just sucked. I played it against my son’s friend’s bottom of the line LTD strat style, and the super cheap LTD pup blew away the PB3. I now have a Dimarzio SD at the neck.👍🏻

This isn't him actually playing here... I've been playing 20 plus years and he is clearly just letting a track play and playing along with it but you can tell what he is playing isn't what sounds the guitar should be making the pinch harmonics are the clearest give away because it rings out way longer then he holds down his finger for that note so this is fake. Could he play this riff maybe I would say probably as its really not that hard to begin with, but he is just pretending to play over a recording here like he is in a music video or some shit. It always bugs me to see people do this crap though tbh
@OrlandoAponte17 сағат бұрын
Why does it bug you?
@ivecaughtfire743116 сағат бұрын
You do realize this is a produced and edited guitar track he's playing right? It's not just some raw audio coming from a DI or a microphone recording an amp just fir a demonstration. It'd a recorded, arranged and drum programmed piece all in a DAW like 99% of all music is today as that's the best way to record and produce music with respects to labor, cost, equipment, knowledge of specific gear for recording eetc. Idk what you think is going on here. That means he wrote and recorded it in a DAW and there's no video recording of him doing that here, so YES by the single fact it had to be first recorded and produced slightly to be uploaded to the damn internet to begin with, this video is most likely him PLAYING ALONG to his own recording b.c he can't show a video OF AUDIO playing from a speaker. Did you expect this to be something like he's playing to a drum sample or program or of a live drummer? It's his piece, his audio, he recorded and edited himself. He's just demonstrating himself playing it, are you 5?
@ivecaughtfire743116 сағат бұрын
Also this shows your ignorance, recording in a DAW applied a very minor latency to the input of an instrument so the audio being tracked will be a faint couple milliseconds behind your inputs so despite the fact all his movements correspond to the actual notes, including that harmonic bend literally rising and lowering in pitch in respect to his hand fretting, even if we're being charitable to your ignorance the fact is the audio would be slightly delayed vs his physical movements on camera. All thus is assuming the guitar track you hear is him actually playing it on camera which it probably isn't he's likely playing along to it.

@@ivecaughtfire7431 You do realize that I read your original comment, right? There's no need for you to say the same thing twice. By the way, the act of playing over pre-recorded tracks without any output signal is called "miming," so you can just refer to it as that instead of writing multiple paragraphs. You still haven't answered my question: Why does it bug you?
