Thx for sharing! I visit 1-2x a year & started searching (today) for a video to show a friend that you don't have to walk a trail to enjoy Blackwater. It HAS trails but it's amazing for lazy-car-drive-by birders like me & also for anyone w/bad knees, back, & if you're in a wheelchair. <3 & thanks!

I had meant to comment on the NOLA vlogs, about pacing and story, etc. Neither were excuted well in those regards, but man you really nailed this one. Pacing is great, and while it's hard to tell a story in a vlog which you don't have personal problems to overcome in your story arc, the story here is well executed.

Thank you. I appreciate the feedback. I definitely find value in your feedback and I shall consider it for future projects. I will say though that I view vlogs as the “Freestyle of Filmmaking” For me it’s just a way to put ideals and experiments into practice. So truly most of my vlogging is just freestyle that I get to look at afterwards and get ideals for new camera angles and color grading experiments and so on. I actually try to encourage people that want to creat with film but don’t know where to start. I tell them to vlog and just use it as blank canvas to learn and most importantly have fun. But like I said I value your thoughts and maybe I should start making some vlogs that are more structured in advance for better story telling purposes.

You are an absolute boss for highlighting our comic book!! Thank you brother. Also, one the dopest things I've seen in any video is the part where a creator runs into another aspiring creator and uplifts them. In a world where way too many people are selfish and ultra competitive, it's good to see that sort of comraderie.

It is funny how many subtle things I notice now since I have been doing more video editing. I love the local music for your background. You did a spot on job capturing all that wildlife there. That 200-600mm came in handy. I haven't seen Glidecam footage in a long time since all the gimbals came to market but the Glidecam gives a sort of flying feeling. It's nice. I feel like gimbals have a somewhat mechanical look to them but the Glidecam is just pure gravity and weighted balance. I liked your video and subscribed to your channel!
@ShafreelCosmos
@ShafreelCosmos 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the kind words and subscribing. Yes, the 200-600mm was a must needed lens in my kit. I have taken an official job position as the videographer of Cromwell Valley Park and capturing wildlife is important. I’m very new to shooting with a lens that has that much range but I’m learning it and loving it. I agree with you that gimbals seem very mechanical looking and for me I’m not that much into that look. I LOVE my glidecam! I’ve been shooting with it for years and I’m not giving it up haha. I checked out and subscribed to you channel. Fantastic videos my brother and I love that you shoot with Fuji Film. That will definitely make your work stand out from the norm so keep on creating. #Filmmakers

@@ShafreelCosmos Oh wow that’s cool that you’re an official videographer for the park. With that much of a zoom, do you always need to use a tripod or can it be used handheld?
@ShafreelCosmos
@ShafreelCosmos 2 жыл бұрын
@@calumetdarren I don’t use a tripod at all for these type of shoots. I approach it like a Guerrilla filmmaker because I’m always on the move. Wildlife is fast and I need to be fast as well so I handheld all the shots with the 600mm. My camera and lens has stabilization so that helps.
