Yeah I know, she should’ve evolved, Meganium is a great evolution but still Bayleaf had a lot of potential. And it was very cute of how she was so affectionate of Ash. She was Ash’s first female Pokémon before Snivy and Unfezant came along. From seeing Ash get jumped on by her, now I know what being knocked down by a big dog looks like. She didn’t know her own strength after all and Ash was a bit harsh on her at that part but they reconciled thankfully.

The Chikorita-Bayleef-Meganium wcolution is one of those cases where the show was better than the games. It was hella challenging conquering Johto with Chikorita as a starter.
