You know what Pieps, get fucked. I specifically go out of my way and tell others not bo buy Black Diamond or Pieps products. The only thing these beacons might be good for are training scenarios.

Hey I had two beacons recalled and on both the plastic buckles holding the beacon in the plastic case are extremely hard to pair. And this is in the comfort of our home, so I assume it will be barely possible/impossible to clip while out in the cold. Please address.

Guys, for storing purposes just pull away batteries and keep it in ON state in the case. Hope, it will not damage device )))

How should we store the system while it is off?

Imagine calling yourself a certified mountain guide while simultaneously trying to convince the general public that a deadly safety device is in fact "safe" - and only releasing the video 6 months after the initial blowback. You're deeply committed to profits over people and that's about it.

This ''new" Hardcase Carrying System was just delivered to my home today and I'm really disappointed. First of all there is a feeling that this case is a rough prototype which has nothing to do with the final product, you cannot carry your beacon in the case while it's OFF, the new horizontal strap around your body - this thin rubber band is NOT comfortable at all, why you've made it? That's a shame :( The only way to get your reputation fixed - redesign your product with switching mechanism completely and provide free exchange program!

Please provide this video also in other languages, to make sure that also non-native english speaking users fully understand all details. The minimum would be all languages in which the printed instructions are available. I.e besides of English: french, german, italian, spanish, dutch, norwegian, swedish, finish, polish, czeck, slovakian, slovenian, russian.

Just got the email today...I waited all winter to get this "solution" from Pieps/BD? Very disappointing.

Gros erreur de conception pour ce nouveau Hoster. Il n'est pas possible de porter ou de ranger le DVA en mode hors tension. De plus le support est fragile si le DVA n'est pas clipper à l'intérieur. If this means, I can't transport or store the beacon with the switch in the off position I won't use it.

It’s maby not the best solution everyone hoped for, but I’m stoked that I can use my DSP Sport safely again. Thanks Pieps for the free hardcase! It fits well and feels solid, the only downside may be a hard fall on the hardcase.

This faulty device has cost people their lives and loved ones. A terrible bandaid to a problem which has been prolific with this transceiver for the last 4 years. Mine finally failed a few days ago, within warranty. After 10 days of emailing Pieps NA I finally heard back from BD/Pieps telling me they might get back to me in 7-10 weeks about my failed transceiver. What do I use for the next 7-10 weeks + however long shipping is, while I wait for my new beacon? Certainly not another Pieps/BD device. I cannot believe how poorly this continues to be handled with such blatant disregard for the lives it has cost. Do not trust your life to this company

So I can´t put the beacon in this case while is off? So you need to store it out of the case?

I used to have a Pieps. The locking button is 'hinged' to the body by a thin bit of flexible plastic. This broke after only two weeks of use. I can also see why it might be a worry that the lock button might be inadvertently pressured and the slider move unintentionally. Although I can see the new carry cradle is designed to stop the slider moving, as in the video, I still have misgivings about the longevity of the flimsy lock button itself. Time for a significant redesign?

This has been a known issue for a long time now, and only when lives are being lost are you doing something about it. We put our faith in your products and our lives in your hands when we buy Pieps/Blackdiamond safety gear. Please don't fob us off with the half arsed attempt at fixing it. Do the right thing, recall the beacons and restore the faith in your brand once more. I and many others like me will never buy Pieps or Blackdiamond products again till you fix this issue properly. RECALL THE BEACON.
