Hi, are you taking on work? My is200 was welded by a "specialist" but after inspection only the outer sills have been welded and a patch in the boot by the shock completely ignored! Would be good to get it done right by someone who clearly takes pride in there work!

First off excellent work, secondly you are a REALLY good friend to give him a $20/hr rate that was easily a $5k or more job for all the work done.

Can you show the timing belt installation and the corresponding marks on both pulleys? Doing one here in PNG 🇵🇬 and your help will be much appreciated.

The rain water gets in via the kickplate peg holes in the door sills and pools there in front of the back wheels. Eventually the wheel well wall corrodes through and lets a lot of road crap and salty water in making it much much worse. If these holes arent plugged or sealed in some way the water will pool again and the sill will rot from the inside again. This is why all IS grn 1 rot at this specific point over and over. Also a lot of mud will get cahght inside the wheel arch, sit and rot the metal. I cleared poinds of it out of my rear wheelarches. The fronts have liners and dont collect the mud or rot nearly as much. These are brilliant cars but these design flaws kill them. Its great to see one being repaired.

Hi, Great video. I just change timing belt on my Peugeot 407 SW 1.6 Hdi, and come to turn High Pressure Fuel Pump wheel. I know I must put something in the holes, but does it matter if I have turn it one or to turn to one side?? but i have put screw back in the holes again, and timing belt will be as I have marked where to be.

I've used Rainsport 5's on the front of a Focus ... a safe experience in the wet and for me that's where it counts. My CRV (bought 12 months ago) has worn Kumho SUV's on the rear and good Landsail SUV's on the front. Are the 5's a good chice for me and where would you put the new tyres - front or rear?

I seem to remember a guy at work a while ago saying " you won't see rust with the French cars,,"😜 I think its fair to say any car can rust if given the opportunity. Great video and impressive work. The 406 are a pretty good car aswell in fairness. Good to see you are keeping it right...👍

Bit like my Peugeot expert van, you don't see the rust on that at all, until you poke the sill and it falls to bits in your hand. :o)

Great video, nice welding, puts mine to shame. Doing up an old TalbotExpress just failed the MOT. They didn’t like me using plug welds on the sil lip, insisting on a continuous weld. Wondering how to approach, do I just weld along the lip edges or grind between the plugs and weld up?

Insired me further to tackle a similiar issue on my Peugeot Camper. I am new to mig welding, but confident enough. Seeing how you do it in stages certainly helps. Just one thing, did you get solar burn on your hands? Thanks for a good video. Toptastic.

Building awesome campervans, and I'm not sure I want to publicise everything I do anymore 😔 maybe in time, when I have the spare time to record and edit videos ☺️ I'll be doing a catch-up on the Peugeot 305 im restoring, that's taking shape nicely between everything else. Hey thanks for your comments today buddy ☺️🕉️

Wow, Jesus H Christ I admire you guys, that was some horrible repairs to fabricate, I'd of said buy a new car! At way less than £20 an hour, 100 hours plus materials and only a 2k bill you must be the cheapest welder out there! Subscribed!

Wow, I used too sell these, fantastic cars. Never had a rotten one....but not sold one in 7 years. Interesting that the inner and membrane sills are getting rusty....or was that just unlucky? When customers get quotes for welding they always seem to have a coronary, not understanding the amount of labour involved, and what a bloody horrible it is, reasons so few garages want to do it. Great cars, great video.

Just had the MOT on my GS300 1999, same problem. The car runs like new so I cannot afford to replace it. I'm having to remove the plastic outer cover to see how far the rust goes. Hopefully it can be saved.😪

I have noticed that the shoulder on the left front is worn out and the rest of the tyre has about 3mm on it. I think it’s due to roundabouts on left hand driving in the U.K. It’s just a theory as my car has the tracking regularly checked. Other than that I absolutely love these tyres for wet grip.
