I was not happy with this method until I put a belt around my waist, and then measured to the bottom of the belt front and back. VOILA! Great explanation.

Hi! If you don’t have a serger, would it be ok to use a zigzag stitch to finish the raw edges?

As they say, "It's still news if you haven't read it yet". I've been crafting for years but have never seen this idea. I hope you see this comment after all this time and know that this idea is very much appreciated!

Very nice but your binding closure should have been stitched on the diagonal.

I have to say that the filming of that video was wonderful. I've been trying to find a video that actually shows up close how to do this and finally this video has done just that. A big thank you to the person that filmed this video. I can now do this little maneuver because I could actually SEE how it was done. Well done you.

Simple way to do it is ... Copy the curve from pants that fit you perfectly.

I think I would do Rayon and then I will do the binding and the bra in cotton lycra. I hope that will help with the growing.

I haven't even begun sewing yet. The learning starts soon. I'm getting an inherited sewing machine tuned up and checked out, and then my journey begins. So, this is pretty far advanced for me, but really interesting. As a larger woman, finding pants that fit better than "ehh, it'll do" is not an experience I've had in my life. While I know it's going to take quite a bit of time before I tackle making pants, or learn to tailor patterns to fit me better, watching this video makes it feel so much more accessible. Just knowing there are such wonderful resources and ways to learn makes me even more interested and excited to sit at the machine and start the process. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and craft.

On the replay. I am so sad that Tipsy Tuesday is going away!😢 I understand though. If you are looking at suggestions for the website, you can see a list of your patterns in Alphabetical order if you look under my patterns, but I wish it had a folder for each pattern so you didn't have to scroll through 4 listings of each pattern when looking at "My Patterns".

Happy Birthday Eve!! Being that you are one of the only companies that has a ton of bathing suit options do you have a Canadian source for a good quality bathing suit fabric for chlorine pools? I swim laps many times a week and I'm tired of tankinis riding up my pear shaped body so I'm looking at creating a zip up unitard 7/8ths long with a racer back. I only want to make a couple per year hence trying to find a fabric that won't fall apart after a couple swims!
