Hey Jeff , I just got through detailing my entire Travel Trailer. I used Mcguires 67 buffing compound with a wool buffing pad. It took me a couple of weeks to do the entire rig . After buffing with 67 compound I used a fine foam polishing pad, then wiped off the excess with a microfiber towel. The whole rig and decals shined like show room finish. It is a 2015 Jayco Eagle Premier. It had a lot of oxidation from the previous owner. I keep it under a shed now, but it looks great.

Mikes never ever spray the surface with your 303 or you will have permanent drip marks. Just spray into your towel

3 minutes in and I love your energy (seriously!) I am going through just about the same thought process with my old rv sink. Replace with plastic or porcelain? If only I could just spray a new finish on the old sink, that would be ideal.

This is easier said than done. I removed a faulty adjustable thermostat from the previous owner. I put the OEM parts back in. The bulk of the spring under the plastic ring makes this almost impossible. It takes patience and time to finally get all that bulk under the tabs. You have no choice but to bend those tabs. When you get everything under 2 tabs and need to get the 3rd one under its tab, good luck trying to spin the plastic ring with that notch. This was tedious to say the least

Are you concerned about the motorhome resale value without the original couch? I have a 2003 Southwind and i hate the couch, but my wife is against it because of depreciation . Thanks for a great presentation
@MilesandSmiles4U
@MilesandSmiles4U 2 ай бұрын
Other than improving the comfort and appearance of our Southwind, I think that replacing the sofa has increased the resale value of our coach. We get many compliments from other RVers and requests for where we bought it. For a 2003/04 coach the question of depreciation is kind of moot. The only question buyers of this age rig have is the overall condition of the vehicle and its components. Good luck!

Well done. How did you get the two single rocker chairs opposite the couch to fit in that small space. I have a 2003 Southwind. I am looking forward to your next "how to"!

The rockers were original, and were very heavy and bulky. We replaced them with lighter and more comfortable chairs from IKEA.

If you have good batteries or better yet , lithium batteries, you should be able to run your propane furnace all night and then recharge in the morning with your generator. I did that many times years ago in my Bounder Class A MH. Today you can also buy a Power Station, plug in an electric heater and use that. Recharge at 10-20% back to 100 % by plugging it into a 120 outlet while your generator is running, plug it into a 12v dc outlet (cig lighter) or use fold up solar panels when parked to recharge. I use it for all my cooking with 600 watt appliances plus charging my devices and it lasts a week on one charge. Jackery, Eccoflow, etc

DO NOT do what this guy is telling you to do, I am a RV tech, have been for over 40 years and if you "bend the tabs" on you Atwood water heater to remove the thermostat you will do un-reversible damage which will cost you the price of the water heater ($1,000.00 plus) replacement. There is a clear plastic disc on the thermostat it self that has a notch and it rotates underneath the tabs which releases the thermostat from where its mounted. BEST OFF keep searching the "HOW TO" replace Atwood water heater thermostat or BETTER leave it to the professionals and stop following these wanting an academy award wanta-bes that turn a 2 minute job into a 20 minute mini movie with bad input

after you've replaced the two seals - use spray Silicone Lubrication - it took a good dosing but the bowl has now retained water for 3 days. I opted for the $14.00 replacement seals instead of the $59 dometic seals. As the majority of the seals are made by three companies world wide - the same place that dometic purchases theirs from - they have the company's brand and package with their brand and charges a PREMIUM

I can’t take my domestic apart and it does have a current seal. I bought 2 different wax rings. The piping actually comes about 2 inches from the floor. How do I need to install the wax ring or do I need to purchase something else in additional?

Thanks for the helpful video on this repair. I now have the exact Dometic part in hand and will replace ASAP. I also found out that the use of petroleum based lubricants is a real no-no and only silicon lubricant should be used as it won’t destroy the new seal. Thanks again you clarified several of my questions and made the repair look manageable.

Love your video! I’m a 54yr old Christian single grandmother living in my Majestic RV. I have recently been dealing with “no” hot water myself. So I have been troubleshooting this and boiling water in my electric pot to bath and such! Yikes! Talk about going back in time! I would love to have just had too hot of water instead! Hahaha but it has been a journey and I have learned so much! Grateful to have had Jesus with me the whole way and KZfaq as a tool in my tool box! So far I replaced the Motherboard the igniter and now the thermostats so hopefully 🙏I will have hot water again here soon. Thx for your video n I look forward to watching more soon. God bless! ❤🙏👋

Thank You!!! I flushed the hot water heater tank for the first time and I cleaned the spade connectors to the E.C.O and Thermostat. I was careful because I could feel the play under the foam cover. As a result, I did not adequately secure the connections and lost hot water. I manipulated the connectors and the gas ignited. Thanks to your video, I was able to understand what the wire spade connectors were attached to.

Do I just let the water heater fill itself or do I need to fill the tank and burp it or anything?
@hayeswildrick
@hayeswildrick Жыл бұрын
I personally open the pressure release valve while filling so that air can purge while the water comes in. But once water gets to or close to the valve I close it because I was told that you need some air at the top of the tank. This seems to work for me, but it's not something I have expert knowledge about.

The timing for this video could not have been more perfect. Just finished a week of boondocking with friends. They installed a $18,000 system of six batteries, multiple panels and all the support equipment. Sure the could watch tv and run both a/c and microwave but all that is not required for us. Was checking systems out as I currently have a 100 watt system I built but needs more. I really liked this setup as I have to wrap mine in blankets and store on our bed when traveling. The system is currently $320 and am going to bite. Thanks and subscribed

Thanks for asking. They are holding up well. We are still getting accurate readings from our waste tank monitor. Occasionally we will get a reading that is fuller than the tank really is, but one good drain and flush takes care of that.

My mom had the total knee replacement surgery over 20 years ago. She was a fanatic about doing the exercises after her surgery, and after that was done - that was always her best knee. Never another problem. You'll do great, just remember to do the exercises, because the amount of function you get during the exercises will follow you for the rest of your life.

That's a great question. The white streaks and fog on the decals have not returned. I find that I want to renew the decals yearly with the Renew pads to restore a bit of shine. As many comments have mentioned, this does not fix cracks in the decals, but I do believe that it extends their lives. Good luck!

The bowl simply rests on the base and is secured with a metal strap and plastic band, that go between the two parts, and holds them together.
