It still messy. Just buy normal shelf and make a hole in back panel... It's simple movable and rental friendly.

Hi, Ergo, no need to use a hammer that will break the plastic clips as shown in your video, to separate the "roller" from the control bar, please use a flat driver to push into the gap between the control stick and the "roller". The two parts will be separated; you can keep the plastic parts intact which helps the axle rotation smoothly. It is a shame that I can not post pictures here.

Thanks for the advice, Howard! I was a bit too hasty when detaching the clips.

You look like the future! Light skin. Asian eyes. Nubian hair. I saw an article once in TIME magazine and they described future humans and they were described as a mix of all races. It’s 2024 and here you are. Wow.

How did your pax drawers open fully? I purchased the pax system for a client in February and the drawers barely open halfway. They are essentially useless. I have been searching for rails that will work for months and hacks and nothing has worked. I have tried changing out the rails with other brands and nothing will fit correctly. I even called ikea after watching this video to see how in the world you found pax drawers that open all the way. I know the pax 2.0 is coming out in July in USA but maybe you like somewhere else where it has already come out? Please help!! I need to know where you found the pax drawers!!

thanks, Ergo, it looks simple to do; my only question is according to the video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bMWhhJx8msiqoXk.html; the spring needs to rewind in a different direction, however, your film did not mention anything about this, is rewinding the spring can be ignored? thanks again for the confirmation
@ergobuilds
@ergobuilds 28 күн бұрын
No need to rewind the spring. Simply move it from left to right, and it works fine for me.

Just installed the blinds and you absolutely have to rewind the spring otherwise it won't stay open but roll itself out completely.

when i moved it from left to right, i had the blinds roll up completely and the control bar is in it is shortest position, not sure if this make any difference?

Hi, I'm a beginner in woodworking. I'm looking to furnish my apartment and make some furniture. What tools and materials would you recommend for making furniture easily? Do you think I should use MDF, plywood, or some other material?
@ergobuilds
@ergobuilds Ай бұрын
I suggest going with plywood as it's solid and easy to install/uninstall. For tools, you'll want a table saw to help you make straight cuts, plus drill/driver, and a pocket hole jig for assembly. These should be enough to get you started on a simple project. You can also check my first real furniture build kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ebOCoct4s9SboIU.html which only use the tool I mentioned above.

I like the idea of a mini fridge and/or charging area in the hidden compartment.
@ergobuilds
@ergobuilds Ай бұрын
Mini fridge is a good idea! The challenge is finding a top-open one that matches the size of the compartment.
@L4G0ss3
@L4G0ss3 Ай бұрын
For the Hiden storage, you could take avantage of that space to add devices charging. Either with having everything hidden with a slot on the back to have the wire able to come out, or add on top a couple charging ports(this would probably break the minimalist look by having it visible. If you are able, you can had a wireless charging spot also. Some can be hidden and some can be visible. Would had some additionnal fonctionnality to it.

Is there a budget breakdown? I just kept hearing the word "expensive" but no numbers
@ergobuilds
@ergobuilds Ай бұрын
The 3/4 inch mahogany, which is 11.25 inches wide, cost $20 per linear foot. I used 4.25 feet, totaling $85 which is the most "expensive" part of the build.
@lawrenceking4144

MDF as the structural body is a strong and inexpensive choice for something that is mostly hidden. But my biggest takeaway was the use of the DIY table saw stand doing double duty as a work bench.

It is small, but necessary, projects like this that most DIYers need. Organizing drawers and cabinets to suit our individual needs is a constant challenge.

Really cool. I will emulate for sure. Do you think a fixed base would add the value of preventing items from getting under the wood and creating chaos? Is that an issue?
@ergobuilds
@ergobuilds 2 ай бұрын
Having a fixed base definitely helps, but it would require more materials. I have a very snug and tight fit, which usually works fine. The only issue I've encountered is with the knife, as it's quite thin.
