They lost my business over a $3.25 gift card. Sad. I bought a $30 gift card back in 2020 to help them stay in business during the shut down, only to find that they changed owners and no longer accept my gift card. I tried to redeem twice and the first time I was told by a female manager that she was able to find the original gift card purchase and that they would honor it. I came back a few months later then I was denied again. No empathy at all. Just the corporate line and shoved me out the door without as little as a discount to make up for the headache. Well, they lost my business for good.

Amazing gust front came through Powder River County at 0100 this morning. Sudden smokey FIERCE winds that felt HOT. Temps rose from 61 to 80 in 10 minutes.

An assumption that would get you popped in the nose (at the very least) if you said that in public. No cause has yet been determined.

Completely possible (esp with essentially "perfect" conditions as far as I can tell weather-wise) but I took umbrage ("Umbrage, I say!") from the disrespectful expression at this time. I have worked in Trauma Centers for years as well as accident investigations (tho support clerical hack), incl non-commercial aviation. And many, many goofy things can happen that have nothing to do with pilot error but the essential hazards and complexities, esp in scooping water. Focusing on it, it strikes me how even more complex such a procedure is of scooping up freak'n lake water. So heavy! I would think a few degrees approach vector/"bite angle" into water must be thin. I think of her friends and family seeing such a dismissive assumption so early. Apply it to a loved one. Regardless, speculation is problematic. Just seen too much death and flippant comments trigger. Cheers.

You can tell it's going to be bad because the map turns purple. When I was a kid summers only went to red. The good news is if it gets any hotter it'll come back around to blue again, which is much more comfortable.
