Anyone try growing these herbs in hawaii? Wondering if they need any special attention given our climate. Thanks 🙏🏼 Great content btw

For goodness snakes! Your garden seems so exotic to someone living in a temperate climate in the US... but I guess it just looks like a back yard to you. I wish we had big snakes. The biggest we have is the eastern rat snake (rarely gets bigger than 2 m). I always love finding one but they do give me a good jump.

Ask more questions throughout. It was great that you asked the question about the sun or cubbard at the end. As a school teacher, I can tell you people pay more attention when you ask them questions versus continuous talk.

Im doing something similar in Africa, its my passion; i live as a minimalist as well, so no money pressures. It's my life, my terms. My approach is different, starting small with a kitchen garden, where all kitchen waste goes in to fertilise the mainly vegetable garden and then slowly expanding it out from there with fruit trees also benefiting from the same fertility and moisture. I started eating from the garden within a month starting with fast growing local vegetables

9:52 Why are you watering with - salt water - ?! Isn't salt what kills plants?
@TheWeedyGarden2 күн бұрын
Not at that dilution. Sea water contains tons of micro nutrients and minerals, even with this small amount 1-10

So support trees are to help in the growth of the plant your trying to grow for shade and nitrogen and nutrients so I need to chop and drop the support tree once my plant is bigger enough to provide extra food is there support plants for under its canopy or does my now grown plant become a support tree for others??? Thanks weedy
@TheWeedyGarden2 күн бұрын
please try to reformulate as I don’t understand the question 😉🙂 Your support trees are legume trees like the ones I mentioned. Understory support can be a ground cover like vetch or chick weed.

I'm speaking as a biomedical lab tech here: in a strictly medical context, the optimal ethanol concentration for pretty much all medical uses is usually around 70%. Have you ever tried that? Aside from 70% being harder to find etc, I'd be curious to know what you think.
