I heard it live on the Swiss radio. And 36 years I uploaded one of his tunes on KZfaq in title NEGERMUSIK and that's how the American music was called in Europe back in the 60ties. I guess that the drums remided the Europeans on Africa. Pop music was called as NEGERMUSIK 😃

This video is from the 1970's or early 1980's. I saw him as an old man in 2017 and as a younger man in 1988.. Wrong year on that title !

Hi, the video was used for a promo for a tour we would have done in 2017. But it never happened because Luther couldn't make it because of his health situation. You're correct that the original video was from the late eighties ( 1978 I think). After 1980 Luther wasn't in Muddy's band. John Primer and Rick Kreher were the guitar players in his band till his passing in 1983.

I got the pleasure to see Michael Dotson here in my town in 2017. He is a living legend. Should be more recognized. He plays a unique guitar style. Bluesman 100%! Thanks for posting this. Sounds amazing as always.

Again a buzzing noise on magic slims videos. All the free good ads for seniors are working loud and clear. Merry Christmas Grinch for messing with the music people love.

Someone put a Buzzing noise over Magic Slims Music. Some people know how to mess up a good recording. Must be someone doesn’t appreciate blues. There are jerks out there.

Sad to learn that Boyd Small passed away. We were not close friends, but I loved the music and interviewed him years ago for an article on jazz and blues in the Valley. He was a hella guy from the get-go!

so much better tone than the souped up overly distorted modern blues sound .like srv mayer bonnemassa etc .even clapton does it .youd think hed know better. they dont let the blues breathe . it is magic too cos you think hec its just pentatonic licks . yet somehow it is magic .the groovy band helps . they go nuts about about steve jordan etc etc he cant groove like this . .
