This was posted two years ago, but stil relevant and very helpful thank you. You said glen, wessex and mayfower are social, do you know which of these have more international students, to meet new people from different cultures:)

So many of your experiences you stated were/are many of my struggles! One of the big ones I had forgotten about was the fact I would completely lose it when anyone tried to put socks on my feet, never liked them!! when I was 4-5, they didn’t care just yelled at me I had to wear socks bc that’s what people do, but I could feel the thick seam across the bottom of my toes and it I absolutely couldn’t stand it. I learned to ignore my body’s internal tension and just “go with it” on surface level. Still hate socks, if I do wear them and go to sleep(rare) I’ll wake up and find them in the sheets where I’ve taken them off in my sleep. My body knows, I just have learned to ignore

I was just wondering what is the difference between private accoms and the actual uni ones because for 24/25 year Orion point is 160 a week whereas the actual uni ones are much more expensive.
@saskiahdlt17 күн бұрын
honestly not much difference, uni ones just tend to be closer, and for example (i think they still do it) at the uni ones you get a free bus pass, then private ones are just a bit further out, but tend to have nicer facilities like a gym sometimes. not really a huge difference!

I so relate to this saskia! I’m going to move into a house from kings estate next year and they are being such an irritant bunch! They are constantly being greedy for money, being extremely unprofessional. Constantly sending us emails about documents to send that we had sent them multiple times

Anyone waiting should have a look at solutions 4 diagnostics, I went with my right to choose forms to my doctor on Monday and by Thursday afternoon they contacted me and sent me the forms I needed to fill out, I filled these out straight away and they emailed me back with possible appointments which I went and booked in for next week, all in all less that 2 weeks from when I went to the doctor to getting my assessment, very positive experience so far

These are all common problems around almost all the other Universities out there. C'mon we've all dealt with the same 'relatable' stuffs at our home Uni. You suppose to be lacking initial research prior to choosing the right university suitable for your "Course". Anyways.

Thank you for this video, Saskia. It was really helpful and reassuring. I'm on the waiting list for an assessment. I was diagnosed with adhd last year at the age of 57. It explained a lot of things but there was still a big piece missing. Autism will fill in another big piece of the puzzle that's been my crazy existence 🥴

I had an assessment yesterday. I was diagnosed at the end of the assessment. It was similar to yours in the way it was just a conversation, there wasn’t any weird tests or anything. It took about 4-5 ish months total from beginning to end.

After watching Saskia I just hope I have all the correct responses for the 2 consultants. Done weeks of research but feel extremely vulnerable and afraid they'll misunderstand me.

Thanks for making this cool video. Doing my form just now, and really anxious. My sister says I'm definitely autistic and she's known for years. I'm really old now, but I want to know too. I did one of those on-line forms - I know they're not uber reliable, but it said I'm like off the charts. I don't think I'm that bad, but I kinda just know I am autistic.

You don’t have autism ‘Babe’! You just don’t like the fact you have a personality disorder. The way you refer to people in authority as ‘babe’ is down right arrogant. Deal with your personality disorder. Viewers, watch her and compare her with other influencers who have confirmed autism. Compare and contrast this with someone who has borderline personality disorder.

Good to hear what you've been eligible for with dsa. In my first year, I got approved for DSA for my ADHD, then got an ASD diagnosis halfway though the year and got that approved (though what they could provide for ASD was virtuallythe same as ADHD). This year, I've added POTS to the list, so have a review this week! Also, yes, keep going to with PIP. I just had mine approved for ADHD, ASD, POTS, and Anxiety :) Good luck!

@potatoO0o3 ай бұрын
Huh I'm currently in the process of being diagnosed and I'm doing a bunch of cognitive and personality tests. Even a Rorschach test. I did WAIS, Tower of London, tap test, some memory tests, connecting numbers and letters... Some of those might also be for ADHD. And Rorschach is more for fun my psychologist said.

for the point you made about comparisons - having the equivalent for eukaryotic cells - do you have to be specific? as in if you put 'prokayotic dna is naked, but eukaryotic is not' would you still get the mark?

40:30 "I don't know if you're done speaking". Interestingly, in any form of communication where conveying information actually matters - like on radios in the old days, or in computer protocols - there are rules that tell you that you end a message like this ('over' on the radio, I think?) specifically because it's important to communicate that kind of thing not just make people guess! I did think it would be fun to write a "Human Communication Protocol" in the way people define these things for computers but let's face it, it would get thrown out straight away.

"I only initiate conversation when I want to talk" Uhh, doesn't everyone do that? Why would you initiate conversation when you _don't_ want to talk?! 🤨 I always think that I need a reason to talk to someone otherwise it's just plain weird. I don't understand how people talk about nothing AND derive so much pleasure from it!
@saskiahdlt4 ай бұрын
literally why do ppl talk if they dont have a need/reason to
@AliceBunny053 ай бұрын
People will initiate conversation often to be polite. My mom would scold me for being obviously impatient or distracted when she greeted someone she/we knew in some place like the grocery store and had a bit of a chat with them. To me, it didn't make sense because I don't want to talk to people while in the middle of a task like shopping, unless I am able to carry on with the task at the same time. She would tell me it's rude not to say hello and converse a little with someone you knew if you saw them in public.
