Disney just don't understand that we all see our-self in Luke growing up. the character was amazingly crafted... now-a-day they want everyone to see themself in these new characters but they undermined a whole generation by making them think they needs to see those characters with the same race/skin color as the viewer for it to be relatable.

This was all ANYONE who grew up with OT ever wanted. Nothing outrageous, not over the top plot, just max power Luke flexing.

I’m 53 and also cried when I saw this. Just brought me back to when I was 7 years old. I saw the original Star Wars in 1977. Obi-Wan Kenobi, grandmaster Yoda and Anakin Skywalker all would’ve been incredibly proud of Luke at that moment. Thank you to Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni for creating this episode. You have saved the Star Wars franchise.

This is the way (pun inteded) luke skywalker should have been portrayed in the dreadful last jedi ....an extremely powerful jedi master and not the joke that we got

You will never find another movie hero that has the affect that Mark Hammil as Luke Skywalker does on this generation. Period. His presence brings grown men and women to their knees with tears in their eyes. Just his presence. Very powerful. Disney needs to fix the mess they made with him.

It's Christmas Eve in Chicago, I'm trying to wind down from a stressful week and I found myself wanting to watch your performance again. Thank you for killing it. Thank you for grabbing the brass ring. Thank you for giving hope to us all that dreams, even those that might last for just a moment, are worth reaching for. This is a great song, but seen thru the prism of your performance it means so much more. Thanks for the inspiration!

I was watching a couple other performances this evening and found myself agreeing with this particular observation. I'm very surprised that I didn't notice him before given how many times I've watched your performance in their performance of others, but what strikes me is your restraint, your professionalism, your ability to maintain a backbeat without trying to make it about you. It's five years later but this performance gets better with every viewing.
