Nice, just picked up Barons War yesterday and Outremer. Any idea how the Footsore BW range would compare in size with Fireforge and Victrix? Fancy getting some but not if they’re noticeably smaller
@stigofthedump18121 сағат бұрын
I'm not sure as I don't have any fireforge or victrix. I will say, though, that they are realistically proportioned as in not heroic 28s.
@emmetminiatureswargames242420 сағат бұрын
@@stigofthedump181 - cheers, I suspect Footsore are smaller. I intend to do BW and Outremer, think I’ll use Footsore’s range for BW and stick to Victrix and Fireforge for Outremer.

@jmaccsarmiesofmiddleearth the 10mm stuff is just more robust, my 6mm (as much as I love them) is very fragile, many bayonets are now missing! Then of course, the range is fantastic now in 10mm.

Sorry for the late reply, what do you think of it?
@donmchugh8052Ай бұрын
It is good to see Rapid Fire videos, but I suggest you go back and read through the rules carefully as you have done loads of things wrong. MMGs cannot move and fire, they need to be stationary for the move to fire as an MMG. 81mm mortars cannot knock out an AFV. The humber is not armed with a 37mm autocannon. Full vehicle stats can be found on the Rapid Fire website.
@stigofthedump181Ай бұрын
Cheers, this is a vid made during covid, 3 years ago. Mistakes may have been made. 😆 However, on re reading the rules.. Indirect fire can take out an AFV in RF reloaded, so long as the calibre is above 80mm. page 12. I had all the stats and i believe i might have misspoke, the Humber IV has a 37mm gun, not Autocannon. I completely missed the bit of text where it says manpacked guns etc cant move and shoot, it makes sense that they cant so cheers for pointing it out. Cheers . 👍
@BlutgangАй бұрын
I like the bit you made. Well done. I like following a theme as well. Doing desert rats in one of my 15mm games and have dice and chits and decals for it all. It's one of my Battlegroup forces.
@stigofthedump18120 күн бұрын
Cool. I'm think8ng of maybe trying battlegroup with these, though I'm not sure about 28mm. Love battlegroup though.
@Nobleshield2 ай бұрын
So is reloaded the 'current' edition or is it sort of a stripped down version and the other one you showed is still the "real" one? Been looking for something that's easy to understand but has larger scale games (I'm currently playing Bolt Action which is fine but I want something larger) where like a stand is a platoon or even a company, something like that.
@stigofthedump1812 ай бұрын
Reloaded is like a fast play, stripped doen version. Rapid fire is very much a fast playing game as well to be fair. Both are abstracted, so a company representing roughly 100 men would be 8 figures.
@Nobleshield2 ай бұрын
Very nice battle report and great looking forces and table! I've heard of Rapid Fire Reloaded but never checked it out. Is this battalion or brigade scale? So is each figure/stand a platoon (or equivalent, i.e. one tank = a squadron) then? I noticed some infantry figures were individually based and some were based with multiples, is that just a preference?
@stigofthedump1812 ай бұрын
Each company is 8 figures, it's quite abstracted. Each vehicle represents a troop or platoon. So 3 tanks would be a squadron. I've recently been experimenting using flames of war based figures, where each base of 4-5 men is a platoon. So 3 or 4 bases per company d3pending on the nation/ theatre .
@Mittens_Gaming2 ай бұрын
Very nice army you have there! I do my Hail Caesar armies on 3 60mm bases to a unit as well. I think it looks good and 180mm frontage is a good compromise between good looking and working reasonably well on the size of table top most of us have to play on.

Great to watch! Personally, I’d go for a lighter, more yellowy shade for the Russian green. Historically, there was a huge variation, each factory applying whatever they had at hand, so would be entirely appropriate to have a different shade for each mini type. Many formations also applied camo in many variants.
@stigofthedump1812 ай бұрын

@stigofthedump1812 ай бұрын
@@thekrausecollection15mmmin53 so, instead of playing a battalion with companies in O Group, rapid fire is based on whole battalions. overall I prefer RF because its so much simpler, and easy to play. I like simple rules that allow me to get my collection on the table. O group looks like a great game too, but I cant get my head round it!

I’ve played a group a couple of times and it’s hard for me to wrap my head around it. I think you and I would be great neighbors. I like simple. I just bought the rapid reloaded. And I’ve watched all of your videos multiple times of which I loved by the way. I have large flames of war armies, but never really took to that rule set and everything has been sitting dormant for years. You might have just rekindled something for me and I’m really interested in learning more. I really do appreciate you and I really love watching your videos and your style. Looking forward to seeing the Red Army next and seeing how a game of RF works with element-sized basing. I’m currently trying to work out how to play RF using my Eastern Front units which are based for PBI by PeterPig. Shouldn’t be too much of a problem since PBI are 3 to a base, but always interesting to see some one else’s take.
