Get a hand between the blade and your neck. Dont go for avoiding immediate harm. Throw whatever you can between the knife and your neck.

I can see a lot of errors in your technique. Irl the opponent will have resistance and just grabbing thier arm wont do shit. They just move backwards and you will lose your grip and get stabbed. The best defence is to pick up a tool that will put you in an advantage and if its not an option learn boxing and learn how to knock somone out as fast as possible

Defanging the snake doesn't work all the time, so u better have a back up plan. I tried it with about 20-25 people (at different times) - I told them to try not to get it knocked out of their hand (they knew it was coming so of course they were ready for it) - but I'd say it was about 50-50 on those it worked on - I even hit some of them pretty hard, some had big bruises (I apologized later).

There is no deffence against knife. Try giving someone a marker and try to mark you when you try to disarm them. Not happening. Stop creating such bullshit videos and putting people in harm's way thinking they can do something and not die/end up in hospital.

Thank you for your comment. You bring up a very important point about the risks involved in attempting to defend against a knife attack. Here are a few key considerations: Realistic Expectations: It's true that defending against a knife is extremely dangerous and difficult. Our video emphasizes that these techniques should only be used as a last resort when there is no other option. Professional Training: We always recommend seeking professional self-defense training from qualified instructors. Techniques shown in videos can provide a basic understanding but are not a substitute for hands-on training and practice. Primary Goal - Safety: The primary advice in any life-threatening situation, including a knife attack, is to prioritize safety. This often means complying with the attacker’s demands if possible and looking for opportunities to escape rather than engaging in combat. Awareness and Avoidance: The best defense is always awareness and avoidance. Avoiding dangerous situations and being aware of your surroundings are key components of personal safety. Our intention is to provide potentially life-saving information, but we fully agree that any attempt to disarm an attacker should be approached with extreme caution and only when absolutely necessary. Stay safe, and consider professional self-defense training to better prepare yourself for any potential threats.

Thank you for watching! 🙏 Remember, the techniques shown in this video should only be used as a last resort when your life is in immediate danger. The best defense is always to stay calm and comply with the assailant's demands if possible. Consider enrolling in a self-defense class to better prepare yourself for such situations. Stay safe! 🛡

Alot of these are more useful if you're as tall or have arms as long as the attacker. I get that the effect of stunning them is potentially more effective than trying to fight them off. Survival is the aim, brute strength isn’t going to necessarily win your survival. Keeping the knife far from you and getting away will help you survive

These techniques might work but you should (idealistically) first follow a martial arts school because in real life, a knife wielding assailant might not "just" try to stab you, he might want to slash you up first , which is difficult to deal with if you aren't grounded in the rudiments of a martial art like f.i. Shotokan Karate
@izzyporthos-theadventureso7187
@izzyporthos-theadventureso7187 Жыл бұрын
Karate, especially Shotokan, does not equip people with self protection skills! There is little to no pressure testing and the techniques are too complex and too many. I have studied karate for over 30 years so I am fully aware that this is the case!

@@izzyporthos-theadventureso7187 I'm sorry if I seem to contradict you but my brother is in Shotokan and was always fighting in the street and according to him, knife artists are no match for a karateka (although I have to admit here that he mixes his Karate with Thay Kek Kun & Kauw Kun)

Didn't see a single technique that would actually work if you were attacked in the street, especially the knife "defenses". So, you're telling me you let the attacker stab you in the stomach first, then you do your "magic moves"? You would be very lucky if you would survive these attacks at all. Then the rest of the moves are ridiculous. You can see the "attacker" falling into place or just standing there letting the defender do what he wants. Again, not real world at all. This was almost as bad as the "Kung Fu Masters" you see online waving their hands two feet away from the attacker, and they go down or fly across the room.

@@mule666 First, I understood most of what you typed, it was almost English. Second, I've been in Martial Arts (several styles) for 40 years, so that theory of yours looks quite foolish. Third (can you count that high?), the title of the video is "9 Simple Self Defense Techniques". And they are supposedly shown by an "expert". Doesn't matter if this was a "demonstration", he is demonstrating how to get yourself hurt or worse. You think everyone watching this will join a dojo and make sure the sifu shows them the correct way to execute these moves? Seems like you are the one with no experience and just running your mouth.

Too bad none of it is realistic. The attacker (Fred) is dynamic while the target is static. This is never the reality of a fight. There's a saying that rings true here: " If it's flashy, it's trashy"
@joyarnez
@joyarnez Жыл бұрын
For me that's a huge difference between being in the cage and in the street. When you in street, your body language it's totally different than in the cage. In the street your body language it's like you don't want to have a fight ( and it's affecting your attackers also) but suddenly you blast the attackers with survival technic. In the cage at first time you step in, you want to fight each other. That body language makes your opponent's ready to what you want to do. IMHO
