History: had rhinoseptoplasty in 2016. Symptoms: unilateral pain/pressure under left cheekbone; no discharge, lasting several days, recurs every few months. Chronically obstructed left sinus; reduced airflow. Also, chronic TMD and bruxism. No amount of nasal corticosteroid sprays, daily saline rinses, etc. prevent recurrence, provide symptom relief nor address the underlying anatomic issues. Oxymetazoline is the only decongestant that works to provide temporary relief of congestion, but cannot use for more than a day or two. It does nothing to relieve pain/pressure. CT just came back. Impression: Mucosal opacification of the near-complete opacification of the left maxillary sinus. Opacification of the left ostiomeatal unit. Deviation of the nasal septum to the right. Septo revision with endoscopic uncinectomy?

Thank you for this very informative discussion. I have CRSWNP and also had surgeries for chronic otitis medis and mastoiditis from a teenager to my final surgery in my twenties. I am now 70 and had no idea they could be connected . I am in limbo having had one specialist recommending surgery and another saying it is ineffective and to use a nasal spray for the rest of my life. I feel strongly that this condition is not taken seriously at all.

Sounds like every ENT I have seen. They don't look or care, you pay $300 to see them and wait 5 mos to get a visit, then once there you have 2 minutes and they tell you use Flonase and wash nose. Zero help. If you take time to see an ENT they should know you exhausted common cures with your regular dr. ENT means time to dig deeper.

I do have a " bump on the nose" and it's undesirable... I'm willing to start saving money to change that, I look like a "Turk" in profile ( I'm not racist ). My sister had the same problem, but in her misfortune she was lucky... Following an operation she had to undergo because of breathing problems, the surgeon removed the bump on her nose and now it's very beautiful... I wish I'd been so lucky

You also have to learn to consume a good amount of water along with stretching to help with the respitorys systems circulation, as an adolescent I had a difficult time it even decreased testosterone levels...

I was just diagnosed with a severe case of AERD(Samter's Triad) I actually diagnosed myself while in the ICU in the hospital after another bout of exacerbation. started Googling my symptoms because I have nasal polyps, asthma, and can’t take NSAID’S. I’ve been suffering from nasal polyps for over 15 years. I had two nasal surgeries and the my nasal polyps came back with a vengeance. When my Doctor made his rounds. I ask him to Google AERD(Samter’s Triad)because I have all the symptoms of AERD. He came back and said. Yes I think this is what your suffering from. You have all three of the symptoms. He also said when looking over all my hospital paper work and the medication given to me and the times I went into respiratory failure it all makes sense. He was like I’m very impressed on how you are being proactive about your health and I told him thank you for listening to me and doing your research and not dismissing me. My ENT Doctor has prescribed me Dupixcent. She feels that my body needs a rest. So all my Doctors are in agreement that I might be doing the aspirin desensitization test once my body recover from all the trauma it has gone through this year. So hopefully I will get some results soon.
