Perhaps installing some thin section 'O' rings on the shanks of the bolts would help to keep them firmly centred in their holes.

I know this is a year old but have you tried selecting all the "white" area of the QR code then inverting the selection instead of manually selecting each area? I did it this way and it was way quicker. just a thought! thanks for the vid.

The last drawer you opened one box that was a universal dial test kit. The gage was likely laying in the top bin. The boxes that had individual micrometer heads are used with end measures for setting up jig bore machines. I think I saw a few parallels in there. A huge haul and a major windfall for a hobbyist. BTW: Those 18" long grooved rules are very costly these days. Just the blades alone, not even counting the square, protractor, and center head a high dollar. You did super well, a lot of money for just the gox alone, let alone the contents.
@theundergroundesd18 күн бұрын
Thanks. I few micrometers need calibrated. I checked them with a calibration block from the bottom draw. My friend researched the guys name and he worked for a division of Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory. Who knows what these tools have helped make over the years. Thanks for watching.

Looks great. When I repaired the old 10 gauge, I told you about in video number one I had to do some repairs around the side plates. I actually filled in the cracks with acraglass. I added sawdust. The camouflaged it decent, but not perfect, and it was perfectly flush with the wood. I ended up using some stain and some color markers to blend it in before I finished it. I can’t see the repairs. I also soaked mine and boiled linseed oil probably a dozen times since the wood was old and it was dry, and I didn’t want it to crack with recoil. I then put probably a good eight or nine coats of Minwax antique finish over it. Good job bringing that old thing back to life. I love watching these videos.

Looking good, I do the same vinegar pvc pipe barrel soak. I ended up with the same gun and an 1873 Charles daily side-by-side 10 gauge in the late 90s early 2000s I bought a rummage sale for 90 bucks for the pair. I sold the Stevens like yours for 45 bucks five minutes later it was really rough in the stock was half missing along with the receiver, locking up super loose. The Charles daily I just restored finally three years ago….lol. I’ve shot a double bearded turkey with it since with black powder hand loads.

I move the clip for the needle get up one notch after riding it for a while. The carb was ready to go right out of the box. Bolt it on, ride it, then tune it. You might want to download a Mikuni tuning manual.

Great video, however it's difficult to read the label on the original battery, what was the exact capacity and model number? Also I am assuming you have the 5.3L? Thanking you in advance.
@theundergroundesdАй бұрын
I dont remember but I bought the replacement from the dealer. Believe it not most of the time the dealer has better deals and if they do the work you get a 3 year warranty. Obviously I did the work myself. Yes It is a 5.3L. Thanks for watching.

i have done this before and it works, and jsut have to be reminded of it.. BUT ! I did it to one, and didnt realize that i "zapped" and weekened a spot further down the cord.. and it melted/sparked.. soo.. this works, i done it to a few of them to salvage em.. but make sure ya check that the entire remaining cord is good.. lol. to be honest, it was my fault becuase i put a huge demand on it, and caused it to fry in the 1st place..lol

I collect antique planes and such. I bought a very nice Stanley plane at an estate sale. It has a SSN engraved on it. I also have another Stanley plane with a Denver telephone number and address engraved on it. Back in the day, we didn't worry so much about identity theft. We put our SSN on a lot of stuff. I love my own Gerstner. Great chests!
