I could hear a difference in the podcast audio when the compression ratio was set to 6:1. I imagined it would be like turning down the ‘presence’, or the ‘clarity’. When I do that in Adobe Lightroom for a photographic image, it looks very unnatural and muddy.

Would like to take this course at a later time. I’ll be traveling all of Aug. Summertime is busy time for me. Nov-Dec-Jan? Count me in.

I didn't know that I could use that ProQ plugin within Audacity. I may have to try that some day.

doesn't work, im in Audacity 3.6.1 updated too the latest version.

The entire waveform just disappears at random in this recent update -- just a blank white space inside Audacity. The timeline still functions normally and the sound will still playback. This is extremely annoying, with the only option is to close and re-open Audacity. If anyone know how to remedy this, please let me know. I'm using Linux Mint 21.3 Cinnamon.

The problem is when you normalise to -3dB the soft and middle volume points can be too soft. How does one boost just the areas that are too soft without increasing the high volume points?

Scratching my head and need help.I have a large audio file from a concert 1 hr 40 mins, I imported into audacity 3.6.1 and hit ctrl m to create a label with the song name, I did that for all the songs in the audio file.Then I exported the files, but when it shows in windows explorer they are not in numerical order, and so they wont play in order in media player. How can I fix so they do play in order?

I am a HUGE fan! I was skeptical at first to order the macros but I went ahead and did it less than an hour ago. I have installed them, applied ONE macro to each track on my podcast and you have literally saved me well over an hour of work in one simple click. I would like to know if there are settings in my audio recording that I should avoid or alter in order to get the most out of these. I mean it sounds amazing already, and was so simple, but I am a firm believer in there are always ways to improve. Thank you so much for your hard work! Keep it up.

The dark theme should have light gray (almost white) signal waves (or any other light color), don't you agree? They change the GUI but can't figure out that the plugins are messed up bigtime! If you feel bored being a happy and calm guy, please try to use your audio plugins in Audacity.

Since it has new compression and limiting I'd like to know how to use Audacity with a mic to get the best audio please. I usually record a script, import into DaVinci and import video elements.

...and major bugs to work out. For instance, the program results in a send error report when trying to export. That drives me bananas! May have to wait for 3.6.1, I suppose?

Please tell me how you change your voice or what app you use, I really wanna change mine too.

One further question: if you have two persons speaking, you have two soundtracks - how can I delete just in one track since all the time both tracks are selected. I don’t know how to select just one track. Pls help me.🙏🏻
