My father bought the 1.8 petrol Clima Touring edition back in 2009. Never caused any problem, smooth as a baby and rough as a rock, a true hidden gem. A very good fuel economy and a really excellent engine. Got the looks, even after 12 years it's a really good looking car and so much far from old fashioned. Interior is sportif, spacey and comfortable (don't expect a Mercedes interior, but still really good). Driving it is... It's Mazda. It will give you one of the best rides. Really catchy and steady on turns and on straights you would only ask for a sixth gear. Overall it's where classy meets sport. Oh, and really safe cars, with one of the best ABS and TCS out there. Overall, it's a no brainer for me and a really spot on choice. Hope you go for it! Zoom Zoom Zoooom!

I don't know if prices of used cars have gone up. I just bought a used (150km or 90miles) 2010 mazda 3 sport gx for $6500 CAD without tax.

Don't go for 2010, look for 2011, 2012, or 2013. I heard 2010 is the least reliable of the 2nd gen mazda 3. Also, get an automatic because the manual have problems with the clutch.

@@maple-leafs13 You've got it all wrong! I have a 2010 Mazda 3 manual. Apart from the electrical wiring in the engine compartment, which I had repaired by the Mazda dealer, I only need to change the clutch because it's been the original since 2010 and it's now 2024. What for me is normal to do ...
