We transport sooo many students who do not speak...can not assist in their own evacuation. A special needs bus is MUCH more difficult then this video portrays. If you see a bus evacuating. Stop your car. Ask driver of bus how you can help. Thank you.

Good thing the bus wasn't on the train tracks then you would have to use the front and rear doors and the wheelchair student I would grabbed him and pulled them away from the bus and the tracks

Glad the children were safely evacuated. After all is said and done, what happens to the wheelchair? I personally utilize a power wheelchair and would be complete immobile without it. So now what happens?

There are different ways to get off a bus. You could manually use the lift if needbe or you can take the wheelchair out using the bumper. Its just faster in some cases to take the person out of the wheelchair.
