It helps later when we want to replace the image inside the smart object, if we just used the original logo image and then wanted to replace it with a differently sized logo we could get some cropping :)

Traditional artists train their styles on non-consenting other artists' work pieces yet no one makes this argument against them? I am sure you have looked at plenty of other artists and learned styles, techniques, etc. Artists continue to turn profits on pieces they create using techniques and styles they learnt from other artists- same concept :)

Yes it does! You need to declare that it is AI generated on Adobe Stock though. Any MJ plan should work.

Good question, the website allows the vectorized image to have layers on top of each other rather than strictly cutouts- which is what Illustrator image tracing currently does. Layered vectors can be worked more easily than cutouts.
