China hasn't had an original idea since the great wall of china. Wait a sec...did they invent chopsticks? Cuz I think chopsticks would rate above that. I know they didn't invent the fortune cookie...although popular at western Chinese restaurants, fortune cookies were invented in California...by Japanese restaurant owners!!! Oh, I know what china invented...the police state, a bloated, centralized government, a 50,000 "member" Internet state "monitor" service that bans many words, phrases, and memes, like Xi as Winnie the Pooh. They also cut any foreign broadcasters that mention Hong Kong or Taiwan autonomy, 1 million Uyghurs (detained without a fair due process) in forced labor, "re-education" camps, child labor, no practice of any religion or culture not approved by the government. And finally, the largest state-sponsored cyber-hacking department larger than the rest of the world, combined. There....I'm done...for now.

AIM-174 wont save carriers from hypersonic missiles and the likely opponents have very long ranged surface to air missiles......so saying "USA advantage" is a bunch of bunk.

Good job everybody talk about reaching out and touching someone. I’m hoping this has a lot more success than the Phoenix did good missile, but it was meant for cruise missiles or heavy bombers not for fighters. This one sounds like it’s meant for the fighters.

10:56 The US doesn’t dock ships the way Russia does because we learned our lesson about bunching ships up together at Pearl Harbor.

I think your deference to the shipyard just following the Navy's orders is strategic as you do not want to lose a potential chance to visit the ship, but we all know the real reason behind the LCS and Zumwalt disasters is in part due to corporate greed. If the shipbuilder can continue to rake in money with little work to show for it, why not? It is times like this when you dream Rickover can return from the dead and impose his will on these fleecing corporations.

Seems like bad idea a few years into service. Boats are a lot of work to maintain so let’s ditch the crew?

The SM-6/AIM-174B does not need target illumination as it is active radar homing.

Yeah something incredible just happened alright. The Pentagon just admitted that 40% of all semi conductors used in US weapons are manufacturered in you guess, where? China. 🤣🤣🤣 It done matter what kind of weapons you have. What is the point of having them it if their key component are manufactured in your opponents country. I can guarantee you this new shiny missile has semiconductors and other key components that are manufactured in China too. That goes for rare earths too.

Are you sure you can fit four patriot missiles into one cell I doubt that but I could be wrong because those launcher cells were huge back in the day and unless they have some sort of collapsible pins or they made it smaller

You should read more engineering documents with the calculations for MATH...or get a real advance STEM Degree. In fact, standard missile history mirrors NASA hot staging. One use of military clearance is to prevent people who got other than STEM DEGREES from taking advantage of Industrial Complex by pretending to have a STEM Degree.

100 nautical miles? That's about 112 ordinary miles. Why bother to take off, the pilot could fire the missile from his home runway, then go back to the mess for a beer. Saves unnecessary wear and tear on his plane as well. If these missiles are as good as they say, he might even become an ace without ever leaving the ground! That doesn't seem fair or proper, does it. One problem though - he wont win any medals. You could hardly be awarded a DFC without leaving the ground, even if you shot down a few enemy aircraft.

lots of video clips of Burke-class destroyers in this clip, which clearly are not Carney. There's significant variation within the class (multiple "sub-classes" called "Flights"). At least use clips of Flight I DDG's, not Flight II/III. The most immediately-obvious external visual difference is that Flight I DDGs (which includes Carney) have no helicopter hangars; most of your file-footage clips here have such.
