A well played and well executed video. However, due to the asymmetric nature of the battle it lacked tension. I would like to see you deal with more pressure.

Friendly fire by support elements might be a bug or a balancing element to the game. Try keeping the fire missions short.

Also: The trim hat can control autopilot. There were a couple spots here where you would do a much cleaner turn on autopilot by simply tapping trim switch left or right.

Thanks for the constructive feedback! I've mainly flown the Hornet and haven't properly trained with Viggen. But now with this new map there's a reinvigorated enthusiasm to take her out of the hangar. There are some great training resources available for the Viggen.

This flight was in the incomplete section of the map - although Tana river sides had urban settlements. I did a quick comparison. Maps made by ED seem to have the best water-land transitions. Syria by Yugra Media had similar start-stop riverbeds in lakes and rivers. The sea beaches were smoother.

DCS core IS very old. This map is still work in progress. Disappointing in some aspects, but the more I fly, the more I love it.

Hi, Two ships: a Krivak-class frigate and a Grisha-class corvette. Two small blips on the radar and occasionally the radar warning receiver flashes and beeps.

@@crasheba1533 That's good to hear from both of you guys! I tried to keep the viewer in mind by having the mini-map, explaining details in the captions and by having the landmarks on. In part 3 the mini-map triangle has been fixed sharper to distinguish the viewing direction a bit more clearly.

@@victoriousomen I just finished watching part 2 and I'm telling you for real that I never watched a full CM gameplay before. I think the mini-map made the big difference to be able to follow the strategy. Other gameplays offer a lot of "cinematic" shots and a sort of tutorial in-between but I'm not here for a "movie" or a tutorial, I'm here watching your vids for the strategy. You did a mix of both but more centered in the strategy aspect and maybe that made me watch the whole thing.

Took me ages to get the physics of this thing down… First, proximity flying, as low as possible, yields best results. You want to be conservative with your afterburner with the wings expanded else it runs out before you get to the end. A lot of your maneuvers should be wings retracted plus afterburner whenever you have the altitude. You want to be making a lot of high G turns, don’t treat it like a helicopter. Lastly, the air brakes are essential. It will stop on a dime if you use them. Landing delicately and quickly is a balance between throttle and air brake you have to get used to.

Well played, does going lower towards the ground give you more speed? I'm struggling in the end when the storm reaches the station.

Apparently ground effect causes the aircraft to travel faster if you go right close to the ground. However to gain speed I also recommend angling upward at medium altitude, boosting, then activating free fall while continuing to boost. All the while make sure you're yanking the stick right back to ensure that you travel the greatest horizontal distance as possible. This should allow you to reach around 550 knots (if I remember correctly) fairly easily on the run to pick up the dude and towards the LZ.

Don't angle upwards too much much pre-free fall though! I only mean pull back slightly before the free fall (but pull back all the way during it!)

DCS is a simulator MS2020 is a simcade. FSX was and is a more versatile simulator with addons both free and paid.
