That is a considerable improvement. If you have time can you quickly explan everything done to achive this. Did you had to machine the head, cylinder channals etc?
@Mast3rl0rdiАй бұрын
The inlet has been enlarged. The nose in the inlet is now pointed. The transfer ports have not been modified. The cylinder was raised by 2.5 mm so that the piston is aligned with the exhaust at bottom dead centre. The cylinder has lost the centring collar. The cylinder head was turned down to obtain a 0.9 mm pinch edge and adapted to a 76 mm cylinder bore. The aluminium gasket must also be taken into calculation. In addition, the firing chamber (‘half sphere’) was enlarged to 55 mm. The carburettor is a 32mm BVF. The air filter is original. Main jet 145. If you now work on the channels, you can certainly expect even more power. But for me this was the minimum effort for maximum success. 5l/100km. A really good touring vehicle.

These bikes bring back many childhood memories. The engine sounds amazing, you can't imagine a better sound than the whine of the ETZ 250 gearbox. Amazing tour, beautiful scenery. I wish you guys all the best. Thank you for the video.

Trotzdem, geile Mopeds 👍👍🤗
When I had mine I was clocked at 90mph on the motorway The MZ 250 pulls like hell up a steep hill The whole bike was to say well built using strong materials The later ETZ models had improved main bearings and a Yamaha Autolube oil pump good lighting by a 12v 3 phase alternator could easily light a small town. The MZ was a bike for those who wanted a modern classic bike that was reliable cheap to run and good fuel economy. I actually keep up with a Kawasaki KH250 morning mine. In some respects The MZ bikes were probably the most functional bike and to some of us the best bike built for its use
