@TripleRwoods I appreciate you taking the time to provide an honest opinion on each bike. Despite both brands being out there for a while, there's not much commentary on the many models each company puts out. Depending on where one hunts can greatly influence what one needs, but again, where's the company videos of what these bikes can actually do? Something less expensive might be more than capable. I recently purchased a 2024 QuietKat Ranger AWD. During my first ride, the crank would squeak loudly with each pedal rotation. I notified QuietKat and was asked to provide a couple of videos, which I did. The tech guy said he would look into it and get back to me. That night, I went on to QuietKat's website and noticed the bike I purchased was no longer on their site. When I inquired about it, they said they removed it temporarily because some owners were experiencing high heat (melting) in the wiring. I asked to return mine as I didn't feel comfortable keeping it. Luckily, I was within the 15-day return window and was able to do so. I did have to pay $150 for return shipping. It was worth it to me.

a thought, in Alaska there is a law that you can't hunt the day you fly in and for good reason because man would fly until they see the animal drop down and shoot them and its unfair to the animal and frankly it takes sport out of hunting. In my case a neighbor has cell cameras all over his property and i'll be hunting and when he sees a buck he wants to shoot show on his camera he drives past my property spooking deer to get into a stand to cut the deer off. He has been caught poaching and he doesn't stop. Again its my opinion that cell cameras are a great tool but for those who have to hang a BIG buck on the braggin pole it can get out of hand. You seem to overlooked B&C statement on fair chase, "lawful pursuit" by using a camera and violating the law of the state, fair chase is not being adhered to. I have hunting Iowa for over 20 years when tags granted, if you need a cell camera to get a shot at a giant midwest buck you just suck at hunting. The law was just clarified per guidance of the AG, electronic means to pursue and harvest deer has always been illegal in Iowa, it has been on the books ever since I started hunting in Iowa. I am still wondering how they are not going after the use on private land for cell cameras for this same reason. There is nothing worse than walking public land and seeing cameras everywhere and now if they are found after 24 hrs anyone can remove them as abandoned items from public land.
@TripleRwoods11 күн бұрын
So if the government deemed the term “lawful pursuit” to mean only slingshots are legal you would just agree…. 🤷🏼♂️. Saying you suck at hunting if u use a piece of technology is a cheap shot. And that can be said for everything. If u have to use a compound u suck at hunting, if you use binoculars you suck at hunting. That’s not a good argument for ur side.
@brentw409011 күн бұрын
@@TripleRwoods You keep trying to take anyone's opinion that supports this enforcement of actual existing law and relate it back to something irrelevant. Go read the old statue, cell cameras should have been a no question as illegal but as people are they look for the easy way out or how to skirt the law to get what they want. And to clarify they are not "banned" as you state in the video, they just need to be removed by the end of the day and they are not to communicate to you in the pursuit while hunting, pretty simple to understand. Just as you try to compare anyone's opinion different from yours as being a hypocrite because of technology advancements when that is not the basis to this law, it is about items being left on public property and the use of electronics to assist with the pursuit of game which has been illegal for many years, it has nothing to do with technical advancements other than items that were not in existence when the laws were wrote so clarity to the law was needed and was done. The only people on KZfaq who continue to state they would like more clarity of this new condensed verbiage are the ones who are as I said above are looking for grey area as where they can do what they want. As a NR I understand the clarity of the law and it is easy to understand, I applaud the state for finally adding clarity to this issue and helping eliminate the unwanted eye sore of walking public land to find cameras scattered everywhere as people are treating it has personal property and not public.
@TripleRwoods8 күн бұрын
Having to remove them at the end of the day is in effect a ban, not being able to use them on personal property while hunting is a silly law as well. No way they can enforce that. I don't know much about Iowa but I have never seen anyone asking for clarity. If they wanted clarity they should call and ask the local GW, he will be the one writing the tickets. Everyone who pays taxes is an owner of the public land. Your "not wanting to see cameras scattered everywhere" is only your opinion and doesn't represent the entire states hunters. It's bad law with no data to support its need.

Have not used trail cams on public in years due to theft and vandalism, but if I start again, cheap cameras and mounted high out of reach comes to mind. Acorn production key to deer activity here. Not much public food plotting around. Small open areas between heavy cover can be productive. The more difficult the access, the better the hunting can be. Which can translate to a terrible deer drag out. ha.
@TripleRwoods13 күн бұрын

Dang. Those snakes make for an interesting walk in to your stand early season. Friend carries a Judge loaded with .410 shot shells to celebrate those occasions.
