Pretty slick.👍Some advice for others thinking of doing this. You could also use a drill bit or something of the sort that fits snug in the stock hole to ensure center. Also if it is an option use collets instead of a drill chuck and a ream or end mill to make the bottom of the hole fit the insert better.

man i tried this and it did not work at all.... i had my entire body weight on this thing and it just skated across the deck surface. never cut anything...

What kinda power was you running when you finally hit 9s I hear it’s around the 700 mark

how much power, and what mods/turbo are you running to support? If you can manage a 1.5 60', you'll be in the 9s no problem. Looks like a really fun car!

There's very little that actually gets filed off and no pieces big enough to damage anything.

Pure torque, OEM gears only take so much.

Jason got a question, what are you torquing your ARP L19 head studs down to using that Rock Auto or Felpro head gasket before the engine block was o-ringed? and also after when you o-ringed the block?

Generally you don't want to surpass 100ft-lbs unless you install the insert washers into the head which I covered in another video. After that I went to 105ft-lbs.

Would you happen to remember what your crank and cam degree index was on your fueltech?

60.2 on the crank and 111.8 on the cam. Obviously you'll need to dial it in with a timing light but that should get you in the ballpark if you're on a 12-1 crank trigger and 2gb cas.

@@RacingBr98 FT550 havent VE, the idle control sucks, rev limit are trash (only have hardcut, dont control hysteresys or anything). Its an trash ECU for drag, dont have any tune for road/track.

What are you using to monitor Knock when tuning since fueltech doesn't have a built-in Knock monitor? TunerNerd, Plex or something else?

Yea but to my understanding, you still need a knock sensor to make use your timing isn't causing knock. I know it is less likely to knock but still happens. Thanks for your response though.

@@Side_Showif ethanol is detonating, it's already too late for your motor. Pretty much no one running FT has any sort of knock monitoring.
