I'm 61 and been fishing!! Up and down the sonoma coast And recognize some of the places you fish!! You must try fishing At Russian gulch over the hill on the north side beach and a large rock that projects out from the beach can only get to At low tide!! 10-18 lb lingcod, caps, black cod,rock cod, perch,shark!! Miss going there hard to get there 😞

Rainbow perch was the first fish I caught from the surf I agree with you. It was the best tasting fish I’ve had.😊

Last 3 weeks - annihilated by local fish population at a cost of $50+ in gear -- tried 20+ swimbait & rigs, etc -- all for single greenling (barely legal ). Upshot: hurts watching this lol

Try using gear that is appropriate for the fishing being done. I'm reasonably sure you won't get run into the rocks as much.

The big ones are easy to hook, especially in fresh water. They’ll eat any trash that’s in the river, I pulled a pigs ear out of the stomach of one, USDA stamp and all haha

You'd do really amazing work on both the fishing and the filming. Are you bouncing off the bottom or working higher up? Seems like the snags would be a bummer.
