Just go for a capture card. the console companion only runs on last gen xboxs and if you dont have really stable and good internet it isnt consistent at all

@WesternGoose I don't think the companion app works at all anymore. The new Xbox app works for current and last gen @spideyguy2303 you can get audio through the app. Party chat used to be tricky, you had to use the app for parties and not through xbox itself. Not sure if that is still the case. If you're not ready to invest in a capture card, give this a go

You can play the xbox as normal if it is directly connected to the monitor while the PC can be used normally - you wouldn't need to have the xbox or OBS apps maximized if that what you mean
