Wonderful response to a perennial question. To dive into the subject of devotion in this day and age of mistrust of authority, confusion around conflating true autonomy (sovereignty) and the Western cultural notions of “independence”, and lack of discernment, is so helpful and critical. As “seekers” or “finders”, to hear that this subtle quality of devotion (particularly to a spiritual authority) is required on the path is a most powerful reminder….especially as nowadays, as we would prefer to just “do our own thing” without sacrificing one iota of identity. But as you remind us, this will get us nowhere but in endless loops. As a spiritual aspirant, we must ask ourselves do we wish for the same loops of samsara or do we take the leap to be truly transformed?

Looking forward to being in such a field of transformative Presence with all of you. What a special lifetime opportunity and privilege it is for those of us who can find a way to attend. 🪷

Ayahuasca and peyote ceremonies after about 12-13 years of daily meditation, retreat practice, etc. have been a big help to learn about healing, to clean out stuff that sitting wasn't doing, to communicate with extra-dimensional beings and has clarified my path and purpose. Ayahuasca has come with some dark experiences too.I may continue to work with both occasionally but I've never been in denial about the fact that it is not the thing in itself. Those who do not have a solid foundational practice in those circles are just spinning their wheels.

It seems that since so called 'identity' in ways acts as a suction cup; in that there is seemingly no end to what it would take on, culturally, socially and even more-so at the level of attraction and repulsion..all these attributes and their leanings in many ways, in and of themselves, seem to come to constitute forms of possession...in other words...it necessitates that shake-up for that razor sharp balance in intuiting...if it isn't cognized directly that it is all coming out of you....it would then leave an abyss...for all that barrage of construct that would then come into you... Where orientation and re-orientation can make all the difference... How fortunate are those who return...and of equal and special fortune are those who will make their initial way to this glorious forest canopied space and place in Germany for this most auspicious work and it's surrounding theme...
