Excellent video, thank you for sharing! I have a question, you're predicting Open, Close, Min, Max, Adj Close and Volume at the same time and get values for each one of these dimensions, that's what is called multivariate time series forecasting. But, when the LSTM is running, does it consider Close, Min, Max, Adj Close and Volume of the given period to predict the Open value? I mean are we predicting Open, Close, Min, Max, Adj Close and Volume INDEPENDENTLY or does the algorithm considers all the other dimensions to predict one of them?

Hi @Anthony-o1b2j, thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you found the video helpful. To answer your question: Yes, when using an LSTM for multivariate time series forecasting, the model considers all features together. It doesn’t predict each feature independently. Instead, it takes into account the relationships and interdependencies between all the features to make predictions.

Good. How do you extract the features? For analyzing which feature is the most important ones
@InsightsByRish
@InsightsByRish 17 күн бұрын
You can use the correlation method to extract important features. Features with higher absolute values of the correlation coefficient typically tend to be more important. I hope this addresses your question.

Thank you for the video, I trained it for more epochs and the result is --> in terms of accuracy it improves and after a few epochs the accuracy decreases and again it improves, it is imbalance but for only 1 class (healthy) so, does this kind of behaviour of model shows overfitting or some other problem ?
@InsightsByRish
@InsightsByRish Ай бұрын
I think it's likely a combination of both factors(overfitting and imbalance). But still I would say 'Overfitting' can highly be a factor (as that's a small dataset getting trained on high no.of epochs).So you might try adding few dropout layers or Batch normalisation layer. After adding that your accuracy will be dropped a bit but atleast it wouldn't fluctuate.
@pratikraut1376
@pratikraut1376 Ай бұрын
@@InsightsByRish After experimenting with parameters, it is not fluctuating --> I reduced the number of data augmentation techniques, changed the learning rate to 0.002 and also changed strides to 1. It is still overfitting though may be the dataset is small need to work on it.

@InsightsByRish

What's the error?
@Luminouss12096
@Luminouss12096 Ай бұрын
@@InsightsByRish model.fit(X_train, y_train) Input X contains NaN. LinearRegression does not accept missing values encoded as NaN natively. For supervised learning, you might want to consider sklearn.ensemble.HistGradientBoostingClassifier and Regressor which accept missing values encoded as NaNs natively. Alternatively, it is possible to preprocess the data, for instance by using an imputer transformer in a pipeline or drop samples with missing values.
@InsightsByRish
@InsightsByRish Ай бұрын
@@Luminouss12096 I think your input data frame (X) still consist of missing values. Try removing that before building the model. If you still encounter the error then mail your .ipynb file on [email protected].
