I found these need a lot of wind to fly successfully. ALOT of wind!

Hi Tom, long time no talk. I am thinking about adding Audio to my GoPro footage and wondered if you had ever messed with that. I think it will add a lot more to my videos if I can narrate them. When you land you are talking I think into your galaxy phone? Hope all is well with you and yours. I’ve recently gotten back into the RC truck Hobby, they are a lot more expensive than they were in the 80s!
@tomrc4328Ай бұрын
The audio in my videos is coming from the camera I have clipped on my hat. You can use whatever you want to record narration after the fact, then just add that audio to the video in editing. I've slowed down on the RC flying, but I'll still get a good day of flying in once a month still. Too many hobbies these days!
@greggschachterleppc2769Ай бұрын
@@tomrc4328 Thanks for the reply Tom! I don’t have any editing software, I just take what I get for my Gopro and put it on KZfaq. The reason I use KZfaq as I was running out of space on my computer and phone storing video files! I do have a microphone coming that should be able to allow me to narrate while I fly, time will tell. Enjoy your hobbies!

Need to adjust the pitch of the engine to lift the back up 2 degrees or 3 degrees then change the prop to increase air flow the proper is pushing
@Chris-ux3cwАй бұрын
Not so much issues of pull not pushing. Deck needs sealed so wash over doesnt Fill Hull. Bevel the sides from back to front so can Slide and Not HooK like when came ashore. The motor weight is too fwd. Lean your bottom needle a bit, should help it start. The hull has large flat surface area , this creates lots of SuctioN to the waters surface to overcome. Very Nice Cage n rudder setup, id like to see test where you shift that assembly back like the full scale airboat setup

Nine 109 cubic inch cylinders. Air cooled 4-cycle optimized for torque. Piston = 5-something inch diameter. Stroke = about the same. From 985 total cubic inches it made over a thousand foot pounds of torque at a low low 2300 rpm and when multiplied together those numbers mean 450 Clydsdale-Power : )

Jeez Tom ! It looked like you were doing 95mph when you touched down! Thats still my biggest fear,,, landing
@tomrc43284 ай бұрын
LOL Landings are typically between 25-31 mph. Learning in a large open area is best, with practice and experience the smaller areas aren't so intimidating. Like learning to ride a bike, drive a car, etc.. After a while things become a matter of muscle memory, you don't have to actually think about things as much.
